The "GMC Truck" marque first appeared on vehicles exhibited at the 1912 New York International Auto Show. Now, 100 years later, GMC will bring the Yukon and Sierra Heritage Editions to celebrate the company’s centenary. The new Heritage Editions will be offered on the Sierra 1500 Crew Cab, Yukon, and Yukon XL models in SLT trim, priced at $2,645 for Sierra and $1,970 for Yukon and Yukon XL package.

The new models will be distinguished by commemorative exterior badges on the doors, a chrome package for Sierra, a new set of 20-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels, and different equipment for the interiors. Three colors will be available – a new, exclusive Heritage Blue ($195), White Diamond ($995), or Onyx Black (no additional cost). Interior colors for the Yukon are Ebony and Light Tan.

"The GMC brand always looks forward, but this day provides an opportunity to celebrate 100 years of the proud GMC name," said Tony DiSalle, U.S. vice president of GMC Marketing. "Sierra and Yukon are two of our longest-running and most-respected nameplates, so it makes sense to use them to represent our heritage."

Hit the jump for a full list of equipment.

The Sierra Heritage Edition full-size pickup includes:

  • Unique “Heritage Edition” exterior badges
  • Embroidered front floor mats
  • Embroidered front headrests

It’s completely non-sense if we compare those two SUVs. They are both good. GMC is known for making great SUVs.

You can’t be so sure of the performance of GMC Yukon and Sierra Heritage Editions. But you can still enjoy these vehicles.

In my own opinion, they are both good. The fact that I love SUVs is the reason why I love them

They both look good, and their features are promising. I wonder why Sierra offers more features than Yukon?

To choose between the Sierra and Yukon, I prefer the Sierra. The Sierra looks totally equipped with lots of features rather than the Yukon.

The specifications and features speak for itself that it has the capabilities that others don’t have.

It would be nicer to look at if the sizes of its features are proportional to its figure.

I’m not sure if I’m looking at some vehicle with a sloppily combined front and rear, frankly, but that’s what I’m seeing.

Just like everyone is saying, this looks disproportional. It oddly has an inexplicable appeal though.

Something’s quite not right with these. The other looks like a messily assembled automotive to me.
