GTA prepares Spano Spyder and R versions

The GTA Spano was the first Spanish sportscar, and it turned out to be more successful than everyone expected. Of course that just means that GTA would be crazy not to crank out a few more versions of this Don Juan. So during the latest testings done at the Valencian Community Ricardo Tormo Circuit test unit, GTA discussed two future versions for the Spano sports car: a Spyder and a track-focused R version. There aren’t any details on either of these future models, but we expect them to deliver the same performance numbers as the coupe version and also only be offered in limited numbers.

As a reminder, the GTA Spano is powered by a V10 engine which is longitudinally positioned at the rear and delivers 780 HP and a torque of 920 NM. The car sprints from 0 to 60 mph in under 3 seconds and can hit a top speed of 207 mph. It is built on a chassis created by combining Kevlar, carbon fiber, and titanium, and sits on a set of wheels manufactured exclusively for this car.

GTA Spano - new photo session

GTA Motor has revealed some new images of their first supercar, the GTA Spano. The Spano is powered by a mid-mounted V10 engine rated at 780 HP. It makes the 0 to 60 mph sprint in 3 seconds while top speed goes up to 217 mph. The supercar will feature a combination Kevlar, carbon fiber, and titanium chassis. It will also feature 380-mm-diameter carbon ceramic ventilated disc brake system and 6 piston calipers supplied by AP Racing. The GTA Spano will finish off with a cool, glass panoramic roof, front 19" wheels, and 20" rear wheels.

The supercar will be limited to only 99 units which means there will be at least 99 lucky people that can bet on themselves if they ever come head to head with a Lamborghini Murcielago or a Ferrari 458. The status of "supercar" is definitely deserved by the GTA Spano. Way to go, Spain! Or should we say, "Bien hecho, España!"

GTA Spano on the streets of Madrid

After being displayed at the Top Marques Monaco, the GTA Spano has been spotted cruising the streets of Madrid in all of its Spanish glory. Of course, this supercar wasn’t being driven by the owner (considering the GTA Spano won’t go on sale until the early summer), but the Director of GTA Motor, Dominic Ochoa taking the Spano for a little drive.

GTA Spano at Top Marques Monaco

The Spaniards definitely did something right when they designed and produced Spain’s version of the supercar, the GTA Spano. After making its debut at Valencia, the GTA Spano made its first public appearance today at the Top Marques Monaco. The supercar will be limited to only 99 units. It is powered by a monstrous V10 engine that snarls an impressive 780 HP and a torque of 920 NM. The GTA Spano’s chassis is a benchmark in the industry because of it combination of carbon, titanium and Kevlar. It makes the 0 to 60 mph sprint in merely 3 seconds while top speed goes up to 217 mph.

One of the main GTA Spano innovations at Top Marques Monaco is its interior, which has a totally up-to-date design that transmits the car’s values; a sporting look which also renders luxury and comfort. Its interior design has been achieved with high-quality materials such as leather and carbon fiber. Among the main interior components is the remarkable LCD screen which is aptly located high on the dashboard and acts as a central rear-view mirror. The prevalent feature of the instrument panel is an LCD screen, which can be personalized according to the customer´s requirements and provides the driver with all the necessary information.

The GTA Spano gives the Ferrari 458 and the Lamborghini Murcielago a run for their money and speaking of money, if these three cars were to ever go head to head on the racetrack, our money would be on Sr. GTA Spano. The GTA Spano’s horsepower slaughters the 570hp of the Ferrari 458 and crushed the 670hp of the Lamborghini Murcielago. Ole!

Press release after the jump.
