2012 BMW 6-Series Convertible by Hamann

Following the recent passing of Hamann Motorsports founder, Richard Hamann, the company is abiding by his wishes of continuing with business as usual by releasing their first tuning package for the recently launched BMW 6-Series Convertible. This new package was just debuted at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show and comes with exterior and interior modifications, as well as a massive engine update.

Hamann dressed up the exterior of the new 6-Series with sporty-dynamic front and rear spoilers, new LED daytime running lights, new side skirts, and a set of Hamann’s EDITION RACE ANODIZED and ANNIVERSARY EVO wheels available in different sizes and designs depending on the customer’s request. The interior also received a transformation with components made of the finest black anodize aluminum, personalized foot mats, and pretty much anything else the customer so chooses.

The best part, though, comes as part of the engine setup. Hamann has juiced up the 6-Series’ 4.4-liter V8 engine by adding a sport exhaust system with four stainless steel tail pipes, as well as an ECU upgrade to increase the total output from 400 to 510 HP. Then they added a special suspension that drops the cabriolet’s center of gravity by up to 30 mm.

2012 Mercedes SLS AMG Hawk by Hamann

Another major auto show begins and another Hamann Hawk appears to show off its sleek and stylish exterior. Hamann has tweaked the 571 HP Mercedes SLS AMG a couple of times already, and this model shares many of the same additions as the previous packages, including an engine upgrade and a number of exterior and interior modifications.

The only real change to the Hamann Hawk is its exterior color. The new Hawk switches out the Everose Gold exterior finish with a Pure White. This new color is then combined with the same carbon fiber elements from the original package and a set of 21" wheels. The interior has also been modified in order to combine VIP lounge with motorsports characteristics.

The updated Hawk package is still all about power and speed, so Hamann has remapped the car’s ECU once again to produce a total of 636 HP. The performance specs also remain the same with a 0-60 mph sprint time of 3.6 seconds - a minor improvement from the car’s standard 3.7 seconds - and a top speed of 199 mph.

2011 BMW 5-Series M-Sport package by Hamann

bmw 5-series m-sport package by hamann picture

Last year Hamann unveiled a pretty impressive tuning package based on the new generation BMW 5-Series. Not the tuner took it even further. Based on the models equipped with M-Sport package, the new Hamann 5-Series features a new competition front spoiler which increases the down-force, a new rear bumper with four exhaust tail pipes, a new roof and rear spoiler, front bumper and side skirts.

The exterior package is finished by a new set of light alloy wheels in 21" size. The tuner is also lowering the 5-Series by approx. 35 mm with progressive suspension springs. A new rear silencer with four tail pipes is now available for all engine variants of the 5-series (F10). Only the sports metal catalytic converter with special middle silencer remains reserved for the 550i.

The interior has received a 10 piece carbon interior set, including a new sports steering wheel, a new set of pedal set in aluminum painted in silver or black anodized. A high quality set of mats including the embroidered Hamann-logo rounds off the sporty appearance. No changes were made just yet under the hood.

2011 Hamann Victory II

Remember the Hamann Victory revealed back in 2007? Well, the tuner is now ready to bring out an updated version of that package with the Victory II based off of the latest Gallardo LP560-4. This newest package includes engine upgrades as well as exterior and interior modifications, but the best part is that it looks as menacing as it does in its matte black attire.

Since the new Victory carries the same name as the original, one would think that many of the same additions would still hold. Well, one would be wrong. This new tuned up Gallardo features some distinct characteristics that it can call its very own, including a new front apron, new side skirts, a newly designed rear wing, and much more. A power boost is also new to Hamann’s latest plaything with a jump of 20hp from the standard Gallardo engine.

Overall, this car just looks sick, and in a very good way.

German tuner, Hamann, is killing two birds with one stone with an announcement for their first tuning package for the new generation Porsche Cayenne with an additional announcement for a future tuning package. And while the first package only includes aerodynamic changes, the future package will also include engine updates.

The exterior package includes a new front apron with integrated 2 LED daytime running lights, new side sills, and a new rear apron with a new Hamann sport rear muffler 4 tailpipes. The exterior also gets a new carbon fiber hood with additional air intake and a new set of ultra-light forged 22" 3-pieced light-alloy wheel.
