2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 by Hennessey

The new Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is a heart-stopping, adrenaline-rushing machine packed with a 550 HP LSA 6.2L supercharged V-8 engine. Anyone would be crazy to turn it down, but when Hennessey takes the wheel and manipulates even more power from this engine, the car becomes an unstoppable force suitable only for the most experienced driver. Meet the five engine updates - HPE600, HPE650, HPE700, HPE800 and HPE1000 - that will take your Camaro ZL1 from "standard" to unbelievable.

The first and "tamest" package from Hennessey is the HPE600. This base version offers an output of 610 HP at 6000 rpm. Next to the mild power increase, this package also provides an HPE cold air induction system, a supercharger pulley upgrade, an HPE engine management calibration, and, of course, Hennessey HPE600 badging on the exterior.

The next step goes just a bit over the base line with the HPE650. This update comes with an output of 658 HP at 6,200 rpm and, in addition to the HPE600 upgrades, gets stainless steel long tube headers, high flow catalytic converters, stainless steel mid pipes, intercooler heat exchanger upgrade, Hennessey embroidered headrests, Hennessey HPE650 exterior badging, and premium floor mats.

UPDATE 10/10/2012: Hennessey has unveiled another one of their amazing videos featuring the HPE700 package as it gets tested by John Hennessey. Enjoy!

Hit the jump for the most scintillating upgrade packages from Hennessey for the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.

The third package from the American tuner is the HPE700. This package gets the 550 HP Camaro up to 707 HP at 6,300 rpm, along with the accessories from the HPE600 and HPE650. In addition, the HPE700 package receives an HPE700 camshaft upgrade, high flow cylinder heads, and Hennessey HPE700 exterior badging.

Following the HPE700 is the HPE800 with an obvious output of 800 HP at 6,200 rpm. Along with the bonuses found on the HPE600, 650, and 700, the HPE800 adds twin ball bearing turbochargers, an HPE800 camshaft upgrade, stainless steel inlet piping, dual wastegates, an electronic boost controller, an air-to-air intercooler, dual K&N air filters, and Hennessey HPE800 exterior badging.

The pièce de résistance of the Hennessey tuning upgrades is the HPE1000. This luscious package gives up a total of 1,021 HP at 6,400 rpm to rock your world out on the streets. The HPE1000 features a 427 cid LSX engine and a whole slew of add-ons.

This concept is new to me, the expressive headlights with blue lights give aggressive gesture to the car, as long as the red shiny scheme.

I dont really like these new camaros. They look like a piece of brick. But im glad the peformance for this one overclouds the looks for me...

The looks of this car is very unique among the others of its kind. It’s features are impressive. Hennessey ensures that the every single detail of this car improved.

I like the aggressiveness that the car reflects. It seems to have a power that no one can attain. I like the boost controller they used for this car. Well, aside from that, I don’t see anything special about this one.

Wow! This is an awesome car! It has 550 hp, and that power is very great. Although it looks like a Ford car, it surely doesn’t matter for those who want to try this one. Moreover, the whole package of the car is quite good. A lot of accessories are added to the car.

I wonder on how this car will cost? My guess was it would come in a cheaper price since its just using a supercharged engine. However, I was impressed in the boost in the performance of the car. I bet even Ford can’t boost the Mustang up to that figure!

Its just recent when they have released this vehicle and it already has its aftermarket version. I’m really praising the work of Hennessey for they have made an awesome upgraded version here. The boost in the engine performance of the car is kind of remarkable.
