Hennessey->ke1863 is truly in a class all their own. After delivering the sheer awesomeness that is the Venom based on the Lotus Elise, the company is gracing us with their keen sense of style and power by preparing another package, this time for the new 2013 SRT Viper.

The Viper-based package delivers the same kind of power upgrades as the ones found on the previous package, meaning there are two different power output to choose from. The Venom 700R increases the Viper's output to an impressive 725 HP, while the Venom 1000 Twin Turbo delivers a mouthwatering 1,120 HP - that's almost double the standard 640 HP offered by the 2013 Viper.

Like with the previous Venom packages, the new 700R and 1000 Twin Turbo kits provide more of a power update than anything else. The exterior updates are limited to a carbon fiber aerodynamic kit, including new spoilers, new splitters, and a very cool rear wing for the 1000 Twin Turbo version.

Exterior and Interior

To add an even more aggressive look to the Viper, Hennessey equipped the Venom package with a new splitter, a rear lip spoiler, and new canards, all made of carbon fiber. For the Venom 1000 Twin Turbo, the package also includes a huge rear wing.

The exterior is also complimented by a new set of lightweight monoblock wheels. These work in conjunction with a new set of double adjustable coilover suspensions. A rear differential cooler is also recommended for track driving, and in this case, customers can also opt for a rollbar system. The Hennessey Viper also comes packing with its classic racing stripes, as well as an impressive list of options.

For the interior, the Venom Viper features a carbon fiber trim and a new set of Sabelt 5-point Racing Harnesses with Hennessey and Venom Logos.

Engine

The work on the 700R and 1000 Twin Turbo packages is completely different, with most of the grunt put into the more powerful version.

Starting from the beginning, the 725 HP obtained by the 700R package was attained by adding high-flow cylinder heads and catalytic converters, a new stainless steel exhaust system with 3-inch tubes, and a K&N air filter. The work was then completed with an ECU calibration.

These additions allow the V10 engine to deliver a total of 725 HP at 6,400 rpm and 695 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 rpm. This power will take the Venom Viper from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds and through the quarter mile in 10.7 seconds at a speed of 134 mph. Top speed goes up to 216 mph.

The 1000 Twin Turbo package required abit more work with the addition of new forged aluminum pistons, steel rods, and wrist pins. The tuner also added a new air-to-air intercooler and polished stainless steel inlet tubes and stainless steel turbo headers and down pipes. There is also a new stainless steel exhaust system to go with the upgraded fuel injectors, fuel pump, and lines. The final hit was the serious ECU upgrade and calibration.

The result is an impressive 1,120 HP at 6,200 rpm and 1,092 lb-ft of torque at 4,200 rpm. This version will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.7 seconds and will run the quarter mile in 9.7 seconds at a speed of 152 mph.

Prices

Prices for the new Hennessey Venom 1000/700R packages will be announced at a later date. The Hennessey Venom based off of the Lotus Elise came with a price tag of $725,000 for the 750 HP Venom GT and $950,000 for the 1,200 HP version. Only five units were built too. We would guess that the Venom Viper will come with some of the same stipulations.

Competition

Hennessey is on their game, considering this is probably the first tuning package for the new SRT Viper. Good luck to any other tuners hoping to provide their own package because Hennessey has set the bar high on this one.

So, for lack of options, we'll say that a competitor for the Venom Viper is the Venom GT. The package based on the Elise is powered by a supercharged 6.2 liter LS9 V8 engine that delivers between 725 HP and 1200 bhp, depending on the version chosen. It can hit an impressive 275 mph, but its big disadvantage is its price. of course, the Venom Viper may not bee too far behind in price.
