RWD confirmed, Commodore coming to USA


At Detroit Auto Show, General Motors has confirmed that the Holden Commodore will be exported to the United States. The Commodore SS, a V8-powered sports sedan, will be sold as a Pontiac from late this year or early next year. Holden expects to export 30,000 Commodores annually, about half what it sells locally. "We are seriously planning to import a lot of Commodore SS sedans as Pontiac G8s," Mr Lutz said. Mr Lutz said the export of the Holden Monaro as a Pontiac GTO from 2003 to 2006 (

GM Holden recalls 13000 vehicles


GM Holden has issued a safety recall for VE Commodore, WM Statesman and Caprice, involving around 13,000 vehicles. The recall is in relation to a potential issue regarding rear seat belt buckles. No customer cases have been reported but Holden is taking this action on advice from the relevant buckle supplier after the issue was detected during routine testing at the Holden Proving Ground. Holden VE Commodore coming to USA


General Motors has announced at Paris Motor Show that th Holden desing will be sold in USA under the Pontiac Label. The american version of the VE Commodore will be unveiled at Chicago Motor Show in 2007. The new car will be a Pontiac and it would receive some visual changes including a new nose. 2007 Holden Commodore spied in Australia


The countdown to the VE Commodore has just shifted into top gear. The upcoming Holden hero car has broken free from the company’s Lang Lang proving ground for real-world tests. The cars involved in the trials are genuine production models built on the line at GM Holden’s factory outside Adelaide.
