2007 Honda Civic Type-R

Honda Motor Europe Ltd. announced that Takeo Fukui, President and CEO of Honda Motor Co., Ltd., will be at the 76th Geneva Motor Show to address the members of the press on the 28th of February. The climax of this press conference will be the worldwide debut of the Honda Civic Type R Concept, which strongly hints at what the production car will look like when it reaches the market in 2007.

In unveiling the Honda Civic Type R Concept, CEO Fukui will be joined by the Honda Racing F1 Team’s ever-popular driver, Jenson Button. Jenson will be making a brief “pit stop” from his busy pre-season testing schedule to help launch the exciting concept model to the press.

ya’ll people are in dumb dred the old type R civic is faster than the new one because it is lighter in weight and has more horse power so it will obviously be quicker, so that 8.9sec reading is accurate actually, an secondly the ol type R civic that u ricers claim to have only goes from 0 - 60 in 6.5secs not 6.4 it ain that damn fast an also i’m only doin this cuz i tired of ppl gettin their damn facts wrong i mean this is the third time i had to come on this site an educate sumones dumb i need to start gettin paid for this ...cuz other wise i hate civics all civics they are slow weak n they

honda-please bring this car to the u.s.a.

I agree with the first comment.... 8.9 sounds like BS... my 7th gen 115hp beats that. Has to be around 6.4.

How are you putting 0 - 60 in 8.9 seconds ?!
The car is still a concept car and it will definitely not be slower than the current version which is 6.4!
