The Honda Accord Crosstour entered the market last year and it is walking into the 2011 model year pretty much unchanged. There are actually just a few changes made on the interior and, of course, a new price that is a little higher than 2010. Like with the previous model year, there will be two trim levels, the EX and EX-L, first priced at $29,790 and the second one at $34,140.
New for 2011, the most frequently used climate control buttons are now positioned on the left side of the control stack, closer to the driver for ease-of-use. Less-frequently used buttons are now positioned on the right side. Under the hood there is the same 3.5-liter i-VTEC V-6 engine that delivers a total of 271 HP at 6,200 RPM and 254 lb-ft. of torque at 5,000 RPM. The engine is mated to an automatic transmission that includes a new G-force hold control feature along with an RPM rev-matching featuring when downshifting.

Exterior and Interior
Nothing has changed for the exterior of the 2011 Crosstour. Honda is sticking by its design and is hoping that customers will take to the new crossover model.
The interior of the Accord Crosstour sees minor changes in the location of the climate control buttons. The more commonly used buttons are now located on the left side of the control stack, while the less used buttons make their way to the right side. Yeah, we're just riveted.
The changes move to the back with an under-floor storage area in the rear of the vehicle and reversible cargo floor panels. A tailgate with a large opening and a low lift-over height now makes it easier to reach whatever is hanging out in the back.
The Engine
The Honda Accord Crosstour is powered by a 3.5-liter i-VTEC V-6 engine with Variable Cylinder Management (VCM). This engine produces 271 horsepower at 6,200 RPM and 254 lb-ft. of torque at 5,000 RPM, while still getting an EPA-rated city/highway/combined fuel economy of 18/27/21 mpg1 on 2WD models. The Accord Crosstour EX-L 4WD gets better fuel economy for 2011 with an overall improvement of 1 mpg in city, highway and combined driving for city/highway/combined EPA rating of 18/26/21.
The Competition
With the new Accord Crosstour, Honda wanted to compete with models like the BMW X6, but they didn't even come close to achieving that target. Moving on from that, the new Honda now targets models like the Acura ZDX or the Toyota Venza.
The Acura ZDX is powered by a 3.7 Liter V6 that will put out 300 HP and 270 lb-ft of torque and will be mated to an all new 6 speed automatic transmission. It is priced at $45,495.
The advantage of the 2011 Venza on the other hand is that it will be offered with a choice of two engines. First is a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine delivers 182 HP at 5,800 rpm and 182 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,200 rpm and the second one is a 3.5-liter V6 produces 268 HP at 6,200 rpm and 246 lb.-ft of torque at 4,700 rpm. Prices for the 2011 Venza start at $26,475.
