The automotive term EV comes with an unnecessary stigma of being slow and boring. However automakers like Fisker and Tesla are creating fun to drive sports cars with green power trains and zero emissions, but the ability to have your cake and eat it too comes at a price. However the world’s largest engine builder tried to make things different when they introduced the CR-Z sports coupe concept at the Tokyo Auto Salon. Honda has finally unveiled the long awaited production version of the CR-Z hybrid coupe at the 2010 North American International Auto Show with sales slated to begin as early as summer and will be followed up with a European version later on in the year. The CR-Z is powered by an IMA hybrid system made up of a 1.5 Liter gas burning engine combined with an electric motor that provides an additional 14 HP for a grand total of 124 HP and 131 lb-ft of torque. The concept’s design remains mostly unchanged for the production version with its low slung roof line, sporty rear spoiler, aggressive profile and LED lights that are being used for the first time in one of Honda’s production vehicles. cyrus_parca (539) Posted on 09.22.2011 I’m impressed with what the article said on this Honda CR-Z. This car really had an impressive appearance, and I bet it can catch lots of attention.
micheal_bacardi (298) Posted on 09.21.2011 I’m agreed with them that CR-Z is really a good-looking car, and I love the sleek body paint of this one. It gives the luxurious looks on it. I would love to have a car like this.
Soul_Shinobi (454) Posted on 09.20.2011 I must say that it’s already looking, great and fabulous on its color, and it had the looks of a hybrid car. It seems that this car is so fun to drive.
YoungGecko (182) Posted on 09.19.2011 Impressive platform and styling. I love the glossy color paint that they used on this car. It gives the classy and sophisticated looks on it. The handling of it seems so nice even the dashboard looks so amazing!
Dakota1988 (351) Posted on 08.11.2011 Yeah, I think this car is a great choice for a coupe version. The styling is kind of clean plus the speed performance seems powerful. And it’s a good thing that they have offer various option for the vehicle!
Soul_Shinobi (454) Posted on 08.11.2011 If not mistaken there’s also a hybrid version for this car. I really love the styling and decency on its design. The figure performance of the car is impressive as well. For a daily used car 50 hp is just enough.
albe_winston (1144) Posted on 12.16.2010 58 MPG hwy in Econ is impressive! That would make this a great commuter car, especially for me, since I drive 30 minutes on the highway every day to class.
chris_cortez (612) Posted on 11.7.2010 Not to mention that those sporty mats must make it handle like its on rails!
eddie_long (435) Posted on 06.28.2010 just about everything Honda sells is too expensive, mainly because they are selling on their name. Outside of the S2000, Honda sells to the appliance buyer looking for Honda dependability.
Joewaldner (571) Posted on 06.27.2010 it’s says that it has a I-VTEC engine but isn’t that I-VTEC engine is a DOHC and high performance engine? i mean performance engine consumes a lot of fuels. i wonder how honda deal with this issues.
anthonyevers37 (1029) Posted on 06.24.2010 impressive, bye toyota ft-86 you have been out performed and out dated by honda CR-Z.
Tom_Guts (387) Posted on 06.23.2010 isn’t that toyota declared that they wont turn the CR-Z into a Electric Car?
eddie_long (435) Posted on 06.22.2010 this is not built to run fast.. but if you want to make this car fast you can always choose the CR-Z mugen type R.
rielle_brown (859) Posted on 05.3.2010 This baby is sold out on it’s first launch in Japan.. but honestly it’s not that appealing as the honda Civic and Focus RS.
papy_chulo (600) Posted on 04.7.2010 CR-Z has been sold out in Japan. Honda should made more of this. I really want to have one.
Silvestre_Wall (295) Posted on 02.17.2010 Just talked to the guys at Honda’s ad agency and they said "it’s just an Insight coupe." Apparently, the suspension’s been tuned a bit but otherwise they say it’s the same piece of garbage that car was.
CollinGronholmn (707) Posted on 01.31.2010 well CR-Z want meant to be fast. it’s just a normal car that is Hybrid and honda’s answer to toyota Prius.
micopeterson (808) Posted on 01.20.2010 Got it!..I am right that there are no major changes on the outside appearance of this car. But the leap it made is so noble. It is now a green car. The car also looks brilliant in the video. There is so much of the car that we need to discover.
