The iconic HUMMER offering for Europe will be enhanced with the introduction of a new, exclusive, all-black HUMMER H3 which combines stunning style and excellent value with extras worth € 5.000,- fitted as standard. Just 50 examples will be offered and will go on sale by the end of this year. As with all HUMMERs sold through the official European importer the vehicles come with a four-year, 100,000 km warranty and European Roadside Assistance programme.

GM today announced that it will will invest approximately $73 million into its Shreveport, La. truck assembly plant to prepare the plant for production of the all-new HUMMER H3T. The H3T is scheduled to arrive in dealerships by third quarter 2008.

Thanks primarily to the efforts of the Team HUMMER racing team, led by Rod Hall, the HUMMER H3 has quickly proved to be a formidable off-road competitor. It runs – and wins – in stock-class off-road races, where racers must rely on production chassis and powertrains.

The tuning experts at GeigerCars.de have taken the new Hummer H3 Alpha with its 5.3 liter 300 bhp V8 Vortec engine a step further: it has been modified to create improved performance, more driving power,more speed and not to mention its exclusive styling – it is an impressive package both on and off road.

HUMMER has been rolling into cities across Europe to help launch the new Calvin Klein Underwear steel collection. Distinctive steel grey HUMMER H3 vehicles carrying the Calvin Klein steel logo have been at the heart of the action at stores promoting the new underwear.

As part of a six-year commitment to the American Red Cross, HUMMER and the GM Foundation will deliver 12 more HUMMER vehicles to Red Cross locations across the U.S. Red Cross chapters in Long Island, NY; San Francisco, Sacramento, Santa Ana, and Santa Clara, Calif.; Dallas; Houston; Tampa, Fla.; Winston-Salem, NC; Scott, La.; and Red Cross national headquarters in Washington, D.C. will receive a combination of H2 and H3 vehicles to strengthen their emergency readiness and disaster response capability.

The new movie “Transformers” will be launched across Europe on JUne 28. And you all know the plot of this movie: aliens who take on mechanical forms when they arrive on earth. One of the four main characters is “AUTOBOT RATCHET™” who transforms from a HUMMER H2 rescue vehicle. As you already know Hummer has a big fuel economy problem and with the new average fuel economy law coming, its problem becomes even bigger. So the company needs to do something to improve this image. But they have to do it without ruining brand’s two bedrock attributes, in-your-face styling and off-road performance.
