Is this what the Hyundai of the future will look like? This concept was designed by Shane Baxley from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. It is called Aebulle ("aebulle" means "cocoon" in Korean) and represents a futuristic three-wheeler vehicle with an electric powertrain and a magnesium frame. "The main idea was to design a personal vehicle that delivers the mobility and speed of a motorcycle while offering the safety that a cocoon offers a butterfly. The Aebulle is targeted for the Los Angeles region where it would utilize the commuter lanes allowing its occupant a quick commute." The concept was designed to be powered by compact in-wheel electric motors coupled with lithium batteries stored in the floor of the vehicle. It’s front wheels are connected to separate independent swing arms that allow the Aebulle to glide around corners. The body is made up of an aluminum frame and the "windshield" is made up of aluminum oxynitride glass. The whole top of the three-wheeler lifts up, taking with it the center console and allowing the passenger to make his exit. The video that was included showing how futuristic it was. I’m never expecting it to have a production date, but it was an honor to watch this.
This is an ambitious concept, but this is the best concept I’ve ever seen. It’s very futuristic yet stunning. It’s some kind of weird but cool.
I like the concept of the car to offer a speed of motorcycle which provides more safety. It look’s like the new concept of tha car in the near future.
Nice! I really like the concept of the Aebulle its kind of cool and perfectly awesome! I hope it would make it a way on the production. BTW, I think they should have made also a bubble car version for this one!
It doesn’t look liked Murano at all. It looks like a CUV version of the ford fiesta. Which is not a bad thing at all.
I wonder if I could still breathe inside this concept? Anyway, this one is truly so unique and strange. I also noticed that it had a very impressive wheel, which only adds more appeal to it.
I don’t think that Hyundai really had a plan to put this one on the market but sure it was very impressive on its unique platform and styling, it can surely captivates lots of attention and they would really love to have this but alas! they were hoping in nothing, I think.
It really looks like you’re in a cocoon that once you get outside of it, you will turn into a butterfly! hahahaha Anyway, I must say that I’m really impressed with the uniqueness of this concept, and I’m looking forward to seeing this soon.
A very futuristic motorcycle! Well, I’m impressed on this concept, but surely Hyundai never had a plan to put this on market production. Nevertheless, I must say that it is really like cocoon.
