2010 Hyundai Sonata 0T by Rides Magazine

We may have seen a rendering of this tuning project by Rides Magazine a month ago, but it was nothing compared to the beautifully sleek and gorgeous Hyundai Sonata Turbo we see before us. This vehicle has jumped our list of must-see SEMA-bound automobiles.

The best part of this project is that everything was done in a subtle way, but with amazing results. The exterior sees new front and rear bumpers, side skirts, a rear spoiler, and a roof spoiler hidden behind the matte pearl paint job from BASF. And to prove that black is indeed slimming, Rides has added a matte black debadged front grille, smoked taillights and painted headlights, and 20-inch Rennen Modular M9 concave wheels in a powder coated matte black and wrapped in Falken FK452 tires. These black accents draw your eye to the front and center of the vehicle, while still appreciating the fine lines that lead you there. Audi LED fog lights integrated into the new front bumper and a 3M vinyl carbon wrap on the roof also add to the sexiness of this ride.

For the interior, Rides is offering a combination of black leather and suede with red stitching, along with integrating carbon fiber trim throughout. The trunk gets two JBL 12-inch subwoofers paired with two JBL amplifiers. The whole package is finished by a custom quad tip exhaust and an S-Max front mount intercooler that replaces the factory unit up front.

Hyundai may be taking a couple of Genesis Coupes by Ark and Gogogear Racing as well as Rhys Millen Racing’s Equus and Hyundai’s Equus DUB Edition , but the Hyundai Sonata 2.0T by Rides Magazine definitely steals the show.

Press release after the jump.

Press release

To build excitement around the recently launched 2011 Hyundai Sonata Turbo, Hyundai Motor America teamed up with RIDES magazine to trick out one of the first turbos off the assembly line of its Alabama plant. Inspired by the Mercedes CLS, the modified Sonata 2.0T features an assortment of custom fabrication from RIDES’ team of expert builders.

The vehicles exterior modifications are clever and tasteful, starting with a one-off, fully custom RIDES-designed bodykit that’s comprised of new front and rear bumpers, side skirts, rear spoiler and roof spoiler, which all work together to accentuate the factory body lines of the Sonata. Other key exterior elements include a matte pearl paint job from BASF, 20-inch Rennen Modular M9 concave wheels powder coated matte black wrapped in Falken FK452 tires, smoked taillights and painted headlights, a matte black debadged front grille, Audi LED fog lights integrated into the new front bumper and 3M vinyl carbon wrap on the roof.

To complete the design, the RIDES team reupholstered the entire interior in a combination of black leather and suede with red stitching, along with integrating carbon fiber trim throughout. In the trunk there are two JBL 12-inch subwoofers paired with two JBL amplifiers. To finish things off, a custom quad tip exhaust was installed out back, while an S-Max front mount intercooler replaces the factory unit up front, ensuring that this build incorporates both go and show.

It looks pretty damn cool on its platform and design! I love the angst that brings by its front headlights’ design. Moreover, I have to agree that it already looks great on its body paint. It looks very decent on that.

This Hyundai sonata seems so clever! I love it for being a hygienic car, and the angst that this car is expressing. One of the irresistible cars that I saw!

I’m so impressed with the angst of this Sonata! It also looks very aggressive on its front headlight. However, I’m really wondering if they use a powerful engine on this?

I love the exclusivity of this Sonata, and I also have to agree with them that it already looks great and decent on its body paint. However, I wonder if what’s the engine specification of it?

Wow! I love the angst of this Sonata. The headlight of it was gives the aggressive looks on this one. Anyway, I was really hoping to see this one sooner! smiley I would really love to have it for myself.

I love the angst that the front headlights of it was expressing, and I must say that the hygienic appearance of this Sonata is very appealing but is it already on the market? I would love to see this one soon.

Fabulous!! This Hyundai Sonata is really stunning! It already looks so perfect, the exterior design is really cool even with the wheels of it, I bet that the interior is quite impressive either! I can’t wait for this one.

Wow!This Hyundai Sonata is really have the looks of angst, aggressive and an awesome car. Sonata is really stand out when it comes in looks.

Its very pleasure and accommodating while driving. I honestly like the cool looks and very decent and sophisticated looks itself.

The Genesis sedan doesn’t have a badge and its great. Anyways, the badge just distract the car in the bad way! Next year,I’ll go and buy S-Class like Sonata.

I accompanied my friend while driving this car,I found it that it is easy and very smooth way of driving this in any direction.

yeah, I agree I have read lot of great review about the Sonata. And I’m quite impressed about it.

I took Hyundai sonata for a test drive and found to my pleasant surprise that this fantastically engineered car, picks up a lot of speed on the pavement, more than its V6 engine competitors! This is really a great car for an one who want an affordable sedan combined with rare standard features like bluetooth and XM radio!Nice car!

I have to honestly say Not Bad At All. Now personally I think an added touch would be to blacken the roof, weather replace it with heavily tinted glass, or black carbon fiber.

they can keep the atrocious interior, just let me know when Hyundai starts offering the exterior as a package...
