2012 Hyundai Accent

The New York Auto Show is fast becoming a busy event with automakers left and right introducing their new 2012 model line up of vehicles.

In the middle of all the chaos, Korean automaker Hyundai presented the all-new 2012 Accent , a car that promises to take the popularity of its predecessors to a whole new level. Thanks in large part to the car’s new and upscale "Fluidic Sculpture" design, the new Accent sure looks like it doesn’t belong in the subcompact market anymore.

At the very least, it’s changing the game in the market. “The 2012 Hyundai Accent reinvigorates the subcompact segment, similar to what the game-changing Sonata and Elantra have done in their categories,” said Mike O’Brien, vice president, Product and Corporate Planning, Hyundai Motor America.

On top of the Accent’s new design, Hyundai made no bones about the car’s performance and capabilities, promoting the car as a class-leader across the board.

“The Accent’s class-leading standard fuel economy is another showcase of Hyundai’s dedication to improving fuel efficiency with advancements to traditional gasoline powered vehicles and is the fourth nameplate in Hyundai’s lineup delivering 40 mpg on the highway,” O’Brien said.

While it’s easy to promote the car given the drastic changes done to it, we’ll reserve all our judgments until we get to experience the new Accent first-hand. But for now, we do have to give props to Hyundai for a design well-done. Who knew that their "Fluidic Sculpture" language would translate well to the Accent too?

Details on the Hyundai Accent after the jump.

What I really love about this Accent is the fact that it is so practical to use in my everyday transportation and so reliable on a road trip and they are right that the interior of it is really quite impressive and I can say that it is a very satisfying car.

Accent will still stand out in any color! This car is really had an impressive interior features that everyone would love to have with their car.

I love Accent for it has several available exterior colors but I think color blue is really stunning for an Accent car.

I love the sufficient technologies of Accent, it is really impressive. I’m also glad to know that finally Hyundai is arriving for a new sporting line and this Accent is really a successful one.

Hyundai Accent is really good car, from the system and technologies of it is really impressive at all. I love the color also it gives the aggressive look of Accent.

It seems that you can always drive this Hyundai Accent in any occasion. The delivering of 40 mpg on the highway is really impressive at all. Hyundai Accent is a complete packaged for a car.

I really love the fluidic sculpture of Accent and I must say that I am really impressed with the improvement of the fuel efficiency of this car with still have an advancement to traditional gasoline powered vehicles. It’s really a good car.

Accent is really an awesome car for me, well it is already a total packaged for a car, from its appearance inside and out to its engine is really impressive. I can’t say anything wrong about this Accent.

I like the styling of the car which is stunning. It is like a flowing water. I would say that it is going to be a tough competition between this Hyundai Accent and the Genesis. They almost have the same boost.

I’ve seen this one too on the road, actually accent is not really an "eye catcher" car. The reason that really caught my eyes is its pretty paint that they used on it. I must agree that the engine performance is quite impressive.

: Hyundai Accent is simply amazing. I’ve seen this already, when they made a road test drive, and I was amazed with its performance, and the looks are really awesome. I would love to have this one for myself.

Looking on its components, am sure that everybody will love Hyundai Accent. And what makes it more interesting is the car can actually compete with regards to its uniqueness and fuel efficiency.

Though I am trying to like this one, there are really many things that are going against it. For one, there are a lot of competitors that offer more, or at least the same, at much favorable prices.

Well, in my case, I would actually go with this one. The design is very simple, but the thing that really caught me about this one is the handling of the car, which is really outstanding.

Hmm, between this and the Genesis, I would probably choose the latter, since it has quite a lot more features. But this one Is also a rather good car.

Wow! I was impressed with the design and paint job of this car. It looks so sporty
and aggressive! However , the performance of this car is kind of less powerful but just like with the Civic this car would be reliable.

I have seen the listed features of this car and I would say that its kind of high technology. However, just like the other model of Honda there’s nothing exceptional about this car

Yeah, considering that the price for this car is rather low, I wouldn’t be surprised why a lot of people are opting for it. Good thing it has good quality to boot.

@kevin010 well dud, that sight would be a good indication of how popular this car really is. Which is not really that surprising, considering that Hyundai is gaining a lot of positive reviews lately.

hmm. i don’t think that this car performs better. Id rather see myself driving around with Genesis though the interior is nice.
