Hyundai->ke201 is continuing to unveil their line-up for the 2012 SEMA Auto Show with the addition of an unbelievable Elantra GT developed in cooperation with Bisimoto Engineering. We say unbelievable because the tuning company has managed to scoff at the standard model's modest 148 HP and juice up the engine to produce a mind-boggling 602 HP.

How did they achieve this amazing output? Bisimoto Engineering got to work adding Arias pistons, Bisimoto con-rods, a Turbonetics turbocharger, AEM water-methanol injection, and Bisimoto high-pressure injectors. As a result, the 1.8-liter “Nu” engine now delivers 602 galloping ponies for this little hatchback. In order to handle the extra power, the Elantra GT was also equipped with a new set of 18" wheels combined with a progress coilover suspension and sway bar.

Even though the engine upgrade is enough for any Elantra GT owner to drop significant cash on this investment, Bisimoto also added some exterior modifications to sweeten the pot. These mods include an ARK custom body kit and a Gatorwrap custom laminated body wrap. For the interior, the tuner added a JFN full roll cage, Bisimoto racing seats, and harnesses, all very much needed with the monstrous engine upgrade.

Exterior and Interior

What aerodynamic updates can you do to a 600 HP concept car? Well, it's going to need the kind of updates that will provide ample support for the beast hiding under the hood. The exterior updates include a very cool ARK body kit and a Gatorwrap custom laminated body wrap. The interior received new Bisimoto racing seats and harnessesand, since this is a 600 HP car, the tuner also installed a new race cage and an AEM wideband fail safe module.

Engine

As you probably imagine, the most important updates were done to the engine. Believe it or not, this concept maintains its standard 1.8 liter engine, but it is somehow tweaked to deliver an amazing 602 HP and 409 lbs-ft of torque. The standard Elantra GT delivers a total of 148 HP and 131 lb-ft of torque, so the advances in power are out of this world. Bisimoto installed new steel rods, a turbo kit, and new forged pistons, along with a new BTX6462 Turbocharger and a new Spearco intercooler to achieve these mind-boggling results.

In order to handle the extra power, they have also installed a new Coilover suspension and a new set of 18" Buddy Club P1 Racing SF Challenge wheels.

When Can I Drive One?

Don't get too attached to this 600 HP beast! It's only a concept and there is absolutely no chance for it to ever see the production line. However, it is very possible to see it perform in some upcoming racing competitions where we're sure it will perform rather nicely.
