Remember the days when Hyundai was the laughing stock of the automotive world? Remember back when it started producing relatively cool cars? Remember when Hyundai rolled into SEMA with a 1,000-horsepower Genesis Coupe? Oh, that's right; that just happened!
The 2013 SEMA Show->ke216 opened its doors yesterday and Hyundai ->ke201 came with five customized models, with the star being based on the Genesis Coupes->ke2924.
Developed in cooperation with Bisimoto Engineering, this model is based on a Genesis Coupe 3.8 R-Spec, and it will deliver a whopping 1,000 horsepower -- that's more than twelve 1990 Hyundai Excels.
In order to deliver the extra power -- about a 652-horsepower bump over the stock model -- Bisimoto equipped the Genesis with new connecting rods, updated injectors, new pistons, turbo power and intercoolers.
Updated 11/06/2013: The new Hyundai Genesis Coupe by Bisimoto Engineering made its debut today at the 2013 SEMA Show. This was the perfect opportunity to add a new set of images and two video of the 1,000-horsepower sports coupe. Enjoy!
