After impressive success during the 2013 season, Honda prepares to return to the 2014 WTCC season with an updated Civic WTCC . The company offered the initial details and image of the car today, but full specifications will be announced closer to the racing season.
The 2013 Civic WTCC gets a revised aerodynamic package, with subtle styling change to the wheel arch extensions, larger diameter wheels, a sleeker aero package and an extended rear spoiler. Under its hood, the 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine was also tricked to deliver a little bit more power.
Honda is currently preparing two cars that JAS Motorsport will enter in the competition with Gabriele Tarquini and Tiago Monteiro behind the wheel, and a few additional units for private outfits Zengo Motorsport and Proteam Racing for Hungary’s Norbert Michelisz and Moroccan Mehdi Bennani, respectively.

The 2013 Essen Motor Show has just concluded, giving us a sense of what’s going on in the European tuner car scene. Manhart Racing had very special car on display, much like other tuners who had gathered at the annual exposition. But, before we come to that, let us give you a brief background of the donor car.
The BMW M135i has captured the imagination of every auto enthusiast on this planet. A small, affordable hatchback with a pokey little in-line six-cylinder engine developing loads of power and bucket full of adrenaline.
Manhart has taken the M135i and turned it into a rear-wheel drive drift maniac. How have they done it and why are we so excited about it? Well, we think 400 horsepower would answer all your questions.
Yes, this tiny BMW M135i now produces 403 PS (397 horsepower) and 561 newton meters (413 pound-feet) of torque from its six-cylinder engine. That’s 63 PS more than the standard car. So, you have 403 horses driving the 19 inch OZ Ultraleggera wheels. What could go wrong, apart from lots of tire smoke.

The Volkswgen Touareg is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and while a lot of folks in Europe have enjoyed the full-sized SUV for as long as it’s been around, people here in the US haven’t had that long of a love affair with the vehicle.
The German automaker hopes to change all that after announcing that a special-edition Touareg, dubbed the Touareg X, is coming to America.
The "X" designation on the SUV is a reference to its 10th year anniversary and as one can expect with a limited-run set, the Touareg X has its fair share of custom goodies, befitting of its stature as a special edition.
The SUV itself is based on the Volkswagen Touareg TDI Clean Diesel Lux and has been revised to include a number of new features, including a Moonlight Blue Pearl exterior, a new set of 19-inch, Moab-style alloy wheels, and an interior that’s been dressed to the nines.
One look at the cabin and you immediately know that this Touareg is dressed to impress. There are Vienna leather seats, a black headliner and engineered ebony wood trim. In addition to all of that, the Touareg X’s cabin also got piano black accents, illuminated sill plates and faux aluminum pedal covers.
Power wasn’t modified, and yet we don’t think anybody will have problems with the Touareg X’s 3.0-liter, turbodiesel V-6 engine, developing 240 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque.
Like we said, the Touareg X is a limited run vehicle with only 1,000 units earmarked to come Stateside. Pricing begins at $56,170.

The Range Rover Sport is one of those SUV s that doesn’t really need to a whole lot to grab attention. But if an aftermarket company is willing to give it some added shine, we doubt the SUV will have any complaints about it.
One of the best tuners for Range Rovers happens to be really good at things like this and at the 2013 Essen Motor Show, Startech presented a program that took a pretty long time to build. Then again, with programs of this quality, you can’t short change the time it takes to get it up in full swing.
Designed to further enhance the Range Rover Sport’s already appealing visage, the Startech program comes with a load of new features, the most prominent of which are new body components, including a new front bumper with larger air intakes and hooked up with LED daytime running lights. At the rear, a new diffuser was also installed, as well as a stainless-steel sports exhaust system, adding that throatier response that will be of good use with the performance kit added under the SUV’s hood.
Rounding out the exterior mods is a set of 22-inch alloy wheels and a suspension lowering module that can drop the SUV’s ride height by about 25 mm (0.98 inches).
Meanwhile, the interior’s been spruced up with some fine upholstery material, something the Range Rover Sport deserves. Be it premium leather or Alcantara, the material is nothing but top-of-the-line and complemented nicely by carbon-fiber and exotic-wood trim.
Finally, this program wouldn’t be complete without any performance mods and that’s exactly what Startech did. The tuner equipped the SUV with an SD30 S tuning kit, driving up the output of the Range Rover Sport to 323 horsepower and 501 pound-feet of torque, which is a nice jump from the stock 258 horsepower and 600 Nm (443 pound-feet) of torque from the stock 3.0-liter turbo-diesel engine. This power allows the vehicle to hit 62 mph in 6.9 seconds to go with a top speed of 138 mph.

While the world was expecting to see the new-generation Gallardo, Lamborghini decided to come up with a new special edition based on the current model. Called the Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse, this new supercar is based on the Gallardo Super Trofeo racecar, and, according to the Italian maker, it "brings race track emotion directly to the road."
The new supercar was named after the recently founded department within Automobili Lamborghini, which manages all motorsport activities from GT3 to the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo championships in Europe, Asia and America.
When compared to a base Gallardo LP 560-4, the new Squadra Corse version is lighter, more powerful and delivers improved performance figures. As expected, carbon fiber played an important role in the developments of the new Gallardo supercar and many elements were taken from the race track and brought to the road.
Updated 09/09/2013: Lamborghini unveiled the new Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show and this was the perfect moment to also bring some new images. Check them out in the picture gallery!

Updated 12/03/2013: The very first Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Squadra Corse has landed in the U.S. The last of the Gallardos was spotted at Cats Exotics, a premium exotic car dealer. We did check out their website to look for more details about the Squadra Corse Gallardo parked at their dealership, but this being a highly exclusive model of the Gallardo supercar we think someone must have placed an order for it through Cats Exotics, WA. You can see the two images we have of the model here and here.

The sudden death of actor Paul Walker came as a massive shock to all of us. Popularly known as Brian O’Connor, his contribution to the Fast & Furious series will always be cherished in the hearts of his friends, family and fans alike.
Walker played the character of an undercover cop turned road racer in the movie and starred alongside Vin Diesel (Dominic Toretto). The first installment of the movie featured some of the greatest tuner cars of the 1990s and one such car that caught everyone’s attention was the MK IV Toyota Supra.
One of the most famous scenes in the movie was the drag race between the Supra (driven by Paul Walker) and Vin Diesel in his 1970 Dodge Charger R/T , which nearly ended in a dead heat, but not before some intense high-speed action involving a freight train at a railroad crossing and some serious air time.
We take a look at the orange Toyota Supra that rose to fame thanks to its role in the The Fast and the Furious.

Audi just dropped the revised 2014 R8 on the market and the German tuner Regula Tuning already found an extreme way to update it.
The kit is entirely made in carbon fiber and completely transforms the look of the R8 , even though the updates are limited just to a new front and rear apron, and a new set of side skirts.
The kit checks in at &euro7,850 — about $10,500 at the current exchange rates — and it can be applied to both the coupe and roadster versions, and all the engine variations.
No changes were made under the hood, but we think that what Audi is offering from factory is quite enough. In case you forgot, the R8 Spyder is powered by a 5.2-liter, V-10 engine that delivers a total of 525 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 391 pound-feet of torque at 6,500 rpm. This output is enough to sprint the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds and up to a top speed of 193.25 mph.

Russian tuner Larte Design may not be a household name on the tuning scene, but that hasn’t hampered the company from dishing out a new program in attempt to gain more recognition front the public and the industry.
It’s latest work is based on the Range Rover Evoque and despite not being a jaw-dropper at first glance, the kit does still include a variety of aesthetic and performance modifications
A new wide body kit was install, featuring a new honeycomb grille and large air intakes in the front apron. The kit also has a redesigned rear apron, a centrally-mounted triple exhaust system, and a set of gloss-black, 21-inch lightweight alloy wheels. Additionally, the Evoque’s suspension was tuned to drop the SUV by 30 mm (1.18 inches).
Meanwhile, power comes in the form of a 2.2-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 190 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. Thanks to Larte Design, the Evoque saw its output increase to 220 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque.
The modifications are simple, but ultimately, effective to give the SUV a serious upgrade in style, attitude, and flair.

Most of you are starting to think about what to buy to your loved ones, while folks in Germany are getting a good look at cool things to buy their cars at the Essen Motor Show. At this show, the major tuners of Germany, and not only, will display their best kits developed over the years, plus a series of new ones specially created for the show.
Like Lorinser did with this upgrade did based on the new Mercedes S-Class . The kit unveiled at the Essen Motor Show was based on the S550 version, but we’re pretty sure all the other variants will get similar treatments.
A base S550 is powered by a 4.6-liter, V-8 engine that delivers a total of 455 horsepower, but Lorinser managed to squeeze another 75 horses from the powerful engine. With a total of 530 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, the Lorinser S550 will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.8 seconds and up to 155 mph.

A highlight of the 2013 Essen Motor Show is the TUNE IT! SAFE! car and this year, the Association of German Vehicle Tuners (VDAT) has introduced the BMW 4 Series -based ACS4 2.8i Coupe.
The Bimmer coupe was worked on by AC Schnitzer, hence the familiar nomenclature, and comes with a steady diet of aftermarket upgrades that would make the the Police and the Federal Ministry for Transport, Construction and Road Development really proud.
It’s an extensive project, just like previous TUNE IT! SAFE! models and appropriate for an event like Essen. The ACS4 2.8i Coupe comes with a number of new aero components from AC Schnitzer, including a front and rear spoiler, a rear roof spoiler, and a rear diffuser. Adding to those new items to the exterior are a new set of 21-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Hankook 245/30ZR21 Ventus S1 evo tires and an adjustable race-spec suspension that not only lowers the height of the coupe by 25 mm (0.98 inches) but also gives it improved stability in the event the police car is used for law-enforcing purposes.
For the interior, AC Schnitzer continued with its functional modifications on the 4 Series Coupe. None of the upgrades will blow your socks off, but for what they’re worth, the new floor mats, key holder, and aluminum gear knob, foot rest, handbrake handle, and pedal set all represent upgrades in their own right.
Under the hood of this specially-prepared 4 Series Coupe, AC Schnitzer did a sizable performance bump, increasing the output of the sports car ’s 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo engine from 245 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque, all the way up to 294 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. With these new numbers, the sports coupe can now hit 62 mph in 5.7 seconds, 50 to 112 mph in 12.7 seconds. Top speed is still limited to 155 mph, though, so that’s a little disappointing.
