BMW and Audi be afraid! Infiniti
is getting serious about its convertible! A 500 hp G37 is on the way. Inspired by the Coupe version unveiled this year at New York Auto Show, the Convertible version will be launched in 2009.
What do all this models have in comun? Maybe that they are luxury cars, or maybe expensive. No, is not that. The only thing they have in comun is this: they are not on sale yet, but they have a very long waiting list.

When Infiniti launched the G37 in March, they announced it will be a big competitor for the BMW
3-Series Coupe. It is more than normal for Infiniti to also target the 3-Series Convertible. And they will starting 2009 when the company will unveil the G37 Coupe-Convertible.
The G37 Coupe-Convertible will have the same design elements as the Coupe version. Under the hood there will be a 3.7 liter V6 engine with an output of 330 hp and a peak torque of 269 (...)
The dramatic Infiniti Coupe Concept has been selected to compete in the 2007 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, the most traditional of all beauty contests for classic automobiles and contemporary concept cars.
The annual contest will be held from April 20-23 at the Grand Hotel Villa d’Este on Lake Como, Italy - the site of the Concorso since its origin in 1929.

Nissan has announced today that its next Coupe will be called G37 and will be unveiled at New York International Auto Show.
The new G37 Coupe will be powered by a 3.7 liter V6 engine, a bit larger than the 3.5 liter one used in G35. The G37 will be naturally aspirated, but there are also rumors that a GT-R twin-turbo model will be available.
