The 2011 Infiniti QX56 made its world debut today at the 2010 New York Auto Show . Sales will begin in the summer and customers will have to choose between two models: the QX56 2WD priced at $56,700 USD or the QX56 4WD priced at $59,800 USD.

The 2011 QX56 is powered by a new 5.6 liter V8 engine that delivers 400hp and 405lbs-ft of torque. The engine features VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift) technology with the efficiency of Direct Injection Gasoline and a 7-speed automatic transmission. The QX56 also boasts a 10% fuel economy increase compared to the previous QX model .

The exterior design gets a new, bold front chrome grille flanked by automatic on/off bi-functional xenon headlights, body color running boards, body color integrated front and rear splash guards built into the wheel arches, roof rails, power sliding tinted glass moonroof and a power rear liftgate. The 2011 QX56 is also 1.4-inches longer, 1.1-inches wider and 3.8-inches lower in overall height than its predecessor.

The list of standard equipment includes: an Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System, Around View Monitor, Bose 2-channel, 13-speaker Premium Audio System, and available perforated semi-aniline leather seating and a dual 7-inch color monitor DVD system. The QX56 is available with standard 20" wheels and a choice of 6 different exterior colors.

Infinity has announced the pricing for their take on the Nissan PAthfinder Armada, the QX56. The 2010 model is now in showrooms across the country and starts at $56,050 for the two wheel drive model and go up to $59,150 for the four wheel drive version. No matter which drive train you choose, the QX56 is powered by a 5.6 Liter DOHC V8 making 320 HP and 393 lb-ft of torque, connected to a 5 speed automatic transmission.

So in case you are looking to haul some serious cargo in extreme comfort, or are just looking for a way to carry 7 passengers plus yourself, you have options in the luxury full size SUV segment, and the Infiniti QX56 is a prety good one.

Infiniti QX56 is designed for big families that both need big car and luxury. With eight-passenger seating (seven-passenger with 2nd row captain’s chairs) and standard equipment such as leather-appointed seating and navigation system, Rearview Monitor, Bluetooth® Hands-Free Phone System and an independent rear suspension (IRS) with load leveling, the 2007 QX56 can easily satisfy any of this needs. Powered by a V8 engine with an output of 320 hp, the QX56 is priced starting $49.950 (2007 model year).

Infiniti has announced the MSRP for the 2008 QX56 SUV that will go on sale this summer at Infiniti retailers nationwide. Priced at $52,150 for the QX56 2WD and $55,250 for the Infiniti QX56 4WD, the new model is a redesign for the popular, full-size Infiniti Q Infiniti Q X56, with new exterior features, interior enhancements and a range of new standard amenities and technology. Following a record setting sales trend and the successful launch of the all-new G sedan, Infiniti is keeping the momentum going with today’s unveiling of the 2008 Infiniti QX full-size luxury sport utility vehicle at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
