Safety

The 2007 Infiniti QX56 offers an extensive list of standard safety features, including standard supplemental curtain air bags for side impact and rollover to all three rows, side-impact supplemental air bags (front seat-mounted), an Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) with dual-stage front supplemental air bags with seat belt sensors and a front passenger occupant classification sensor and front seat Active Head Restraints.

The QX56 design also includes Zone Body construction with front and rear crushable zones, 3-point front seat belts with dual pretensioners and load limiters, 3-point seat belts for all rear seat occupants (including center position) and LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) child seat anchor system.

Advanced Airbag System

Helping to protect all three rows of passengers, the QX56 features an array of advanced air bags. Up front, the driver and the front-passenger air bags adjust their rate of deployment based on impact severity and seat belt usage. Seat-mounted side-impact air bags move with the front seat to help maintain optimum positioning at all times. Roof-mounted curtain side-impact airbags help protects outboard occupants in all three rows during certain side collisions and rollover.

Rollover protection

The QX56 is equipped with a sensor that can help detect an impending rollover, if one is deemed imminent; the system deploys the roof-mounted curtain side-impact air bags to help provide enhanced occupant protection.

Advanced Braking Technologies

Brake Assist helps apply maximum brake force in emergency braking situations. The available Preview function uses the Intelligent Cruise Control laser sensors to detect a rapidly slowing vehicle ahead, and then pre-pressurizes the braking system in anticipation of emergency braking.

Enhanced Control

In an evasive maneuver, holding to your steered course is paramount. If the vehicle begins to under steer or overseers, Vehicle Dynamic Control applies brake pressure to individual wheels and reduces engine output to help keep you on the track. And the Traction Control System senses wheels pin and automatically reduce engine output and breaks the spinning wheel for a surer foothold while accelerating.

Conclusions

Is true that the QX56 is more about luxury than sports, but this doesn’t mean it is more a crossover than a SUV. With one of the most powerful V8 engines in its class, the QX56 is the perfect choice for driving in luxurious comfort.

On the road this extra luxury and extra large SUV is smooth and quiet, even if you wouldn’t expect that from a car of its size. Featuring a four-wheel independent suspension and a smooth five-speed automatic, the QX45 is one of the most capable SUVs. You will benefit (as standard on the 2007 models) from the electronic stability control and traction control and ABS technology, both helping you to maintain control in emergency handling situations.

Its Competitors

The first one is the Cadillac Escalade, another SUV that stands for luxury. Priced at $55.570, the Escalade is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine with an output of 403 hp. It also eats up to eight passengers while towing up to 7,400 pounds (the QX56 up to 9000 pounds). Offered in either 2WD or 4WD model, the Escalade features a six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift control sends the power to the pavement. Is powerful than the QX56, but is also $5000 expensive.

The second big competitor is Lincoln Navigator, another statement for luxury. The 2007 Lincoln Navigator’s distinctive design combines power and refinement to deliver Lincoln luxury. Lincoln Navigator looks powerful and capable without looking pretentious. With powerful exterior lines and impressive new interior, the 2007 Navigator has a MSRP of $45.850. Is powered by a 5.4 liter V8 engine with an output of 300 hp mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Compared with the QX56 is cheaper, but it has also less power.

I just bought the 2010 QX56 from a dealer that had 2500 miles on it. Here’s the deal. These cars are not quite the quality or have the re-sale as an Escalade or Denali. However, I love them QX. I like the look, the size and presence it demands on the road. To some, MPG is nothing – it’s the look and feel of the car. This one does it for me. It could have 5MPG … no worries. I love it. Get it.

I really don’t like what they did on front, I’d rather choose the armada thou they have the same performance and capabilities.
