There were first rumors saying that the GT-R will be badged Infiniti. Now after it was launched, and turned out to be a Nissan after all, the company confirmed there will also be a Infiniti version of the GT-R. The decision was made in an effort to consolidate Infiniti’s place on the sports-car market. The 2010 Infiniti GT-R will be powered by the same 3.8-litre twin turbo V6 "VR38" engine found in the Nissan GT-R, but the output will be raised to 500 hp. Stay tuned, more details will follow. At the moment, the company only confirmed the existence of the model. .

anthonyevers37 (1029) Posted on 02.16.2010 so the only difference between Infinity GT-R and Nissan GT-R is the 50more HP, how about the price? will it be the same?
grasmamper (6686) - Posted on 03.31.2008 Hello
Wasjust serfing on net and found this site...want to say thanks. Great site and content!
AK 47 (6686) - Posted on 03.17.2008 This is so bloody unfair!A luxury Infinity GT-r with 500 hp while the perfomance Nissan GT-R has 480hp.I know that the Infinity will have lower figures performance-wise(It will do 0to60 in 4 sec or more) but Iam still pissed with Nissan for doing that, although Iam not complaining about the GT-R. It is still my favourite car.
Lee (6686) - Posted on 02.28.2008 I second the request for your sources. A 500 HP Infiniti GT-R just does not make sense.
Fast_Lane (69) Posted on 02.20.2008 A four door version would seem more logical for Infiniti. But if they were going to rebadge a GT-R coupe, they should at least change the styling. Where the Nissan is sportier (Porsche competitor), the Infiniti GT-R should be more luxurious (Aston Martin competitor). That would make more sense. I just hope they would do better styling/rebadging job than Ford’s products.
pdaix (422) Posted on 02.20.2008 It would be a good idea to have the new Infinity ’GTR like’ to be a 4 door version. That would put Infinity right there next to the Maserati quattroporte and the Porsche Panamera. That would be a great highlight for the brand.
Madcow (6686) - Posted on 02.20.2008 First, where is your source on this one? Second, if this is even close to being true...then excuse me while I puke. Just the other night, I was out with the family. In the parking lot of the local Joyful Honda, there was parked off by itself a single gunmetal gray GT-R. We actually veered off course to go circle it. After that close up look, all the reluctance I was having washed away. We agreed then it wouldn’t be so bad to have on of the new models. But, if they actually deform and shame what the GT-R is, and the heritage that has led up to what it is today. All that would cheapen and dilute what the GT-R should be. Maybe I’m just a purist and stuck in my way...maybe I’m wrong and this is all just one big Greek tragedy, but any other form of the GT-R is just plain wrong. brandmax (6686) - Posted on 02.19.2008 that don’t make sense when they talked about a four door version of the GT-R that made sense but another 2 door with the same name for different brand reminds me of the early neon (plymoth, dodge)
