Irmscher is among the first automakers to start preparations for the convertible season. The new Roadster Turbo Sport 45 has been built to pay tribute to the company’s 45th anniversary and will be limited to only 7 units.
The model features an aluminum-plastic body and has been developed on a solid steel tubular lattice frame. Under the hood, the model receives a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot that delivers a total of 265 horsepower and a peak torque of 295 pound-feet. With a total weight of just 1,598 pounds, the new Sport 45 will run from 0 to 60 mph in under 4 seconds.
The model is equipped with a waterproof soft top, five-star Revo rims and for the interior, high-quality leather offered in a color that matches the exterior look. A special "Sport 45" logo on the dashboard and a certificate both confirm that you are indeed driving a unique model.
We may be imagining things here, but this sure does look a lot like a tuned up Caterham 7 Roadsport or Superlight...

Opel tuner extraordinaire, Irmscher, is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year and they’re taking to the 2013 Geneva Motor Show to show off their latest program for Opel’s sports hatch, the Astra GTC.
Considering that the model is touted as coming with a celebratory program, Irmscher is bringing a host of new modifications to the Astra GTC Sport, or as it likes to call this particular model, the Astra GTC Sport 45 Special Edition.
Irmscher’s customization was created with the objective of giving the sporty Astra GTC a performance upgrade while adding aesthetic touches to make the car more distinctive than most of its brethren. Thanks to an improved and tweaked 1.6-liter Turbo engine, Irmscher was able to improve the Astra GTC’s output to 200 horsepower, a noticeable bump from the 180-horsepower output of the standard model.
In addition, the model is also fitted with plenty of aesthetic and aero upgrades that clearly emphasize the aggressive work done by Irmscher on the Astra GTC. The radiator grille, for one, now comes with an Irmscher Carbon bar, replacing the somewhat bland chrome bar on the standard model. The integrated front spoiler and the 20-inch Evo Star alloy wheels play their roles in enhancing the car’s track width while also providing a more dramatic visual stance that exudes the kind of sporty aggressiveness Irmscher aims to accomplish.
From the rear, you’ll also notice the same intentions with the presence of a roof spoiler, a diffuser insert and the left and right ellipsoidal tailpipes. And don’t forget the “Sport 45″ signature, which was put in to remind everyone the special edition tag of this model.
Inside, there are more upgrades, highlighted by original Irmscher seats, as well as leather-trimmed door panels and center armrest with matching yellow stitching and aluminum pedals. Rounding out everything are floor mats with an Irmscher logo and that same "Sport 45" signature.
Only 45 units will be made so if you’re interested to get one, you had better get to it and let Irmscher know your intentions.
The countdown to the Frankfurt Motor Show is beginning to heat up with each passing day as more and more auto brands and tuning companies are coming out with their offerings for this year’s event.
The latest tuning firm to introduce their Frankfurt-bound project is German tuner, Irmscher. Having established a reputation as one of the best aftermarket companies for Opel vehicles, Irmscher will be bringing their new customization project for Opel’s resident hot hatch, the all-new 2012 Astra GTC.
To begin with, Irmscher’s new Astra GTC program features styling cues that include a new front apron, redesigned upper and lower grilles, new side sills, a large roof spoiler, a new rear diffuser, and a choice of several alloy wheels that measure up to 21". The car’s interior also gets a few minor improvements, including a fresh leather upholstery and aluminum trim and pedals.
Irmscher made sure to improve the Astra GTC’s handling by adding a new sport suspension that offers a lowered ride height of 30 mm. Then there’s the performance modifications, which are pretty much the meat and bones of the tuning firm’s program for the Astra GTC. Thanks to a Stage 1 performance kit on the car’s 1.6-liter turbocharged gas engine and a new stainless-steel exhaust system with quad exhaust tips, Irmscher was able to spike the hot hatch’s output from 180 horsepower and 170 lb/ft of torque all the way up to 212 horsepower and 202 lb/ft of torque.
German tuning firm, Irmscher, is coming to the Geneva Motor Show with a peculiar concept car that it’s tagging as the ‘I SELECTRA’. Now if you’re wondering if the concept looks remarkably similar to a Caterham 7, it’s because it actually is one. Or was one, depending on how you see it.
See, before putting their touches on the concept, the German tuner went out and stripped down a Caterham 7 and then fitted it with its own electric powertrain. We don’t really know whether to be flattered or disappointed on Irmscher’s decision to completely undress a car as iconic as a 7, but that’s an issue for another time.
What we do have is a car that does have the power to make the Caterham 7 proud, especially since it achieves those numbers by using an electric motor, which is always a good thing given the growing paradigm shift towards eco-friendly vehicles.

Irmscher, the Germany-based tuning firm has just unveiled their latest creation to fight the war against overweight ridiculously powered big budget supercars with their lightweight Irmscher 7 kit car that can be purchased for less than 20,000 Euros.
Following in the footsteps of Callin Chapman’s original Lotus 7 and the later Caterham iteration. The Irmscher 7 is set to compete head to head with other affordable sportscars like the Ariel Atom that are capable of supercar like performance.
You can have your 7 in four different flavors. The base model is powered by a 2.2 Liter naturally aspirated Opel power plant producing 150 HP. There is also a 2.0 Liter turbocharged model with 210 HP and the next up the line makes 265 HP. However the top of the line Irmscher 7 weighs only 725 kg and makes 280 HP giving it an excellent power to weight ratio which allows it perform like a vehicle 100 times more expensive.
The Irmscher 7 is a versatile machine; it comes complete with a fully adjustable suspension for the track and creature comforts like air-conditioning and a rag top for rainy days. So for those looking for speed on a budget or those just wanting to pretend to be Jim Clark, the Irmscher 7 is worth taking a look at.
Automobile tuners Irmscher are most commonly known for tuning Opels and other GM Europe models. With their RC line the tuning company has turned their attention to tuning another Euro-only brand: Peugeot, in particular the largest of the French built vehicles the 4007. The vehicle has been upgraded with a lower front spoiler, metal skid plate under the radiator and a roof spoiler for added visual power. Irmscher also fitted a set of their signature 20 inch Evo-Star design wheels that make this Peugeot stand tall above the rest.
Irmsher, the Opel tuners are bringing a sporty economical solution to the Geneva Auto Show. The Irmsher Opel Astra is made possible by an LPG conversion kit boosting the output of the 1.6-liter turbocharged engine to a sporty 180 HP. The tuning company is also offering a three stage body upgrade ranging from aero to 18-inch wheels.
So what if you’re European, and you need a hot grocery-getter? This aero kit for the Opel Insignia Sports Tourer may make dad/mom the envy of the parking lot when picking up the kids from soccer (football) practice.
Opel Insignia has barely hit the market and already Irmscher, the well-known Opel tuner for over 40 years, has got a kit out for the sedan.
The kit for the stylish sedan includes a new front lip spoiler, new side sills, a rear trunk spoiler and a new rear air diffuser with integrated 4-pipe exhaust system. Also a new set of 20 inch alloy wheels were added in order to improve the looks but also the handling of the vehicle. We don’t yet know the price, but that’s ok...We’re still waiting (hoping) for the Saturn version.
