Press release

Jaguar Australia is proud to announce the new XF V8 75th Anniversary Edition, continuing the series of special editions launched to celebrate Jaguar's 75th Anniversary. Powered by Jaguar's 5.0 Litre V8, the XF V8 75th Anniversary Edition combines power, dynamics and technology to deliver a true V8 driving experience. The XF V8 75th Anniversary Edition has a recommended retail price of $128,900, plus on road costs.

The naturally-aspirated 5.0 Litre AJ-V8 Gen III engine produces 283kW of power and 515 Nm of torque to deliver 0-100km/h acceleration in 5.7 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.

Power is delivered through Jaguar's acclaimed 6-speed electronic automatic transmission. It features the lightening-quick Jaguar Sequential Shift system with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters for manual gear selection when the driver prefers even greater control, and Sports mode for even quicker gear changes.

Power is nothing without dynamics, and the V8 engine and transmission are complemented by technology that is intuitive, unobtrusive, and never dominating. JaguarDrive Control interacts with the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), engine and transmission management systems to change the characteristics of engine mapping, transmission shifts and brake interventions. It offers different modes, selectable by a button, to optimise the vehicle response depending on driving conditions and style.

For the driver who desires the ultimate XF V8 driving experience, Dynamic Mode optimises vehicle systems to deliver a more involving driving experience. When selected, Trac DSC is automatically engaged, and engine torque delivery characteristics and gear shift points are modified to further improve responsiveness. If selected while the transmission is in full manual
mode, transmission upshifts are fully controlled by the driver, with no automatic up-shift when the rev limit is reached.

The driving experience is accompanied by the salacious sound only possible from a true V8. With V8's engine sound quality developed to deliver an overtly sporty sound quality when accelerating, this XF sounds as good as it goes.

The power, dynamics and audible symphony are all wrapped up in the XF's award-winning sports car styling with its strong visual presence and proportion - a style that is further enhanced on the XF V8 75th Anniversary Edition by standard 20" alloy wheels and exhaust pipe finishers.

The exhilarating experience continues inside with leather seats and steering wheel, knurled aluminium and real wood veneer trim, and phosphor blue halo lighting combining to create a welcoming, enveloping environment for driver and passengers.

Despite the low entry price, the XF V8 75th Anniversary Edition has an extensive list of standard features, including 8 way electric seats, keyless start, automatic climate control, and cruise control. Satellite navigation ensures finding the best long winding road is only ever a touch-screen away.

While the V8 engine provides an endearing soundtrack, the 8-speaker audio system gives rise to alternatives, and the standard portable audio interface ensures easy connection to multiple audio sources including fully-integrated iPod connectivity.

Cocooned in the XF, front and side airbags for the driver and front passenger, side curtain airbags, Corner Brake Control (CBC), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) and Jaguar's Pedestrian Contact Sensing system are just some of the many features that combine to protect those inside and out.

"We are very proud to continue the 75th anniversary celebration of Jaguar with the release of the XF V8 75th Anniversary Edition. Jaguar's racing heart is reflected in a long history of powerful, dynamic and stylish vehicles. The XF V8 75th Anniversary Edition continues that tradition into the future with a true V8 driver's car" said Kevin Goult, General Manager, Jaguar Australia. "It has the power, performance, dynamics and luxury Jaguar is renowned for. And nothing beats that V8 sound!" he added.
