Jaguar is celebrating the launch of its new F-Type sports car in the British market with a special #YourTurnBritain campaign. People were asked to share photos that encapsulate the best of modern Britain through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Tumblr. Contenders who submit the best images will have the chance to win one of the four unforgettable F-Type driving experiences.
Along with this contest, a total of six F-Type Union Jack models, wrapped in a special Union Flag livery will tour the Great Britain in an attempt to support the new campaign. This special F-Type will feature an exterior finish inspired by the recent "Best of British"-themed BBC Top Gear TV show.
The six special F-Types, which will start the British tour on August 12th, 2013 and will run through August 16th, will go from Edinburgh to Oxford. Londoners can admire the cars from August 12th through 23rd as they take residence at Canary Wharf.

The new Jaguar F-Type made its world debut at the 2012 Paris Auto Show. It is offered in three different trim levels — F-Type, F-Type S, and F-Type V8 S — with a choice of two engines.
The base model is powered by a supercharged V-6 engine that delivers a total of 340 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. The S version gets the same V-6, but its output was increased to 380 horsepower. The most powerful model is the F-Type V8 S, which is powered by a 5.0-liter V-8 engine that delivers a total of 495 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The F-Type V8 S can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds and hit an incredible top speed of 186 mph.
On the U.S. market the model is priced from $69,000.

A fleet of six F-TYPEs, with special Union Jack artwork, has embarked on a promotional tour of Britain in support of the new campaign. The unique F-TYPE exterior finish was inspired by the recent ‘Best of British’-themed BBC Top Gear TV show, with an unprecedented line-up of UK automotive products on The Mall in London – led by three Jaguar F-TYPEs – each carrying a Union Flag.
So far, the #YourTurnBritain campaign has attracted more than 250,000 social interactions and over 2,000 competition entries across all social media platforms, with many blogs also contributing with their own celebrations of modern Britain. The images encapsulate modern British culture, with a focus on design, sport, film and music, but all postings in line with the ‘modern Britain’ theme are welcomed.

The Union Flag fleet of F-TYPEs embarks on its UK tour from 12th-16th August, taking in cities from Edinburgh to Oxford with social media users invited to suggest their favourite locations for the cars to appear. Londoners will also be able to see the cars from 12th-23rd August as they take residence at Canary Wharf.
