2016 Jaguar XJ

Posted on by

The current-generation Jaguar XJ was unveiled in 2011 and since then, Jaguar hasn’t updated the sedan. This is all about to change very soon, as for the 2014 model year, Jag is planning a small revision for the XJ.

Our spy photographers managed to catch the first prototype 2016 XJ out for a testing session in the UK , and as you can see, it will feature only minor updates on the front and rear.

As you can see, only the front and the rear of the revised XJ are camouflaged, meaning that we will see a new front and rear bumper, plus a smaller grille. Rumors suggest that we will see a few updates on the inside and some minor changes under the hood, which will decrease fuel consumption.

We expect the revised Jaguar XJ to be unveiled sometime in early 2014, with Jaguar putting it on sale later that year.

As you can see in these spy shots, Jaguar only hid the front and rear ends under camo, so we think it’s safe to assume that these will be somewhat revised for 2015. There are no details about what Jaguar will do with these bumpers, but we expect it to be very subtle.

BMW 7-Series

Mercedes-Benz S-Class

The current S-Class was unveiled back in May 2013 when the model was updated with a new exterior and interior look, plus a new series of engines under the hood.

The S-Class offers a choice of two models — the S550 and S550 4MATIC — and both powered by a twin-turbocharged, 4.7-liter, V-8 powerplant that produces 455 horsepower between 5,250 and 5,500, and 516 pound-feet of torque between 1,800 and 3,500 rpm.

On the U.S. market the model is priced from $92,900.
