When it comes to cars, Jay Leno will try out just about anything with wheels on. Though he prefers those machines with four wheels, he’s got no problem getting inside one that has three wheels on it.
Especially if it’s called the T-Rex.
Yep, Jay Leno has got his hands on a Campagna T-Rex , the three-wheeled, fully street-legal vehicle that defies conventional explanation.
In the latest installment of Jay Leno’s Garage, the denim-wearing comedian gives us the lowdown on the Campagna T-Rex. From its history as a brand that has produced different iterations of the T-Rex since 1995 all the way to its current form as a prowling marauder of the streets, Leno does his best — as he always does — to provide as much information about all of the cars that pass through his incredible garage and auto studio.
And as is customary with cars that enter his garage, Leno gets inside the T-Rex and goes out on town to give it a spin. There are no better perks in life than being able to talk about cars for a living and then having the cache to get inside one to see just how it rides on the streets.
Especially when it involves arguably one of the most unique cars on the market today.

Even after years of being around, the McLaren F1 still deserves the respect of being one of the first modern-day supercars to grace us with its presence.
Everything about the F1 inspires conversation, but this time around, we leave noted auto enthusiast Jay Leno to give us the lowdown on one of the F1’s most important features: its engine.
Professor Leno has his own F1 and it needed a new fuel pump, which made it pretty easy to access its 6.0-liter V-12 engine because, believe it or not, you have to yank out this powerplant to access the pump. In so doing, Leno gives us the lowdown on what makes this particular engine well suited to satisfy the rage of the McLaren supercar and allow it produce all of its 618 horsepower.
Considering that the F1 first made headway 20 years ago, you can make a definite case that the 618 horsepower it produces without any turbochargers is still a benchmark few other vehicles can be proud to say they’ve met these days.
That’s saying a lot, adding only to the mystique of the F1 and its capabilities as a track-capable supercar capable of hitting 62 mph in just over 3 seconds, while hitting a top speed of just a shade under 250 mph - back in 1998.
And to Jay Leno’s credit, his willingness to show us the inner guts of the McLaren F1’s engine is something that’s well appreciated.
When you ask a little boy: "what do you want to be when you grow up?" the answer will be of course: "a police officer." Of course not everyone will end up doing so!
Jay Leno for example, he hasn’t become a police officer, but in the latest episode of his "Jay Leno’s Garage" show he ended up playing with the coolest cars driven by the police officers at the California Highway Patrol.
The cars were brought to him by CHP Captain Matt Guthrie and former commissioner Spike Helmick. They brought five of the finestcop cars of the last 40 years, including 1982 Mustang, 1966 Dodge Polara, 1970 Mercury Monterey, 2000 Crown Victoria and the brand new Ford Explorer that will be hitting California highways soon.

In the latest episode of his show, Jay Leno had to review Robb Report’s 20th annual Car of the Year: the Porsche 911 Carrera S . Along with it, he also reviewed the Morgan 3 Wheeler - a car aimed for those with lots of money to spent, but came in dead last in a group of 13 cars.
The new-generation 911 Carrera S is powered by a 3.8-liter flat-six with direct injection engine that delivers a total of 400 horsepower. When equipped with the PDK gearbox, the new Carrera S can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds. Porsche also offers a Sport Chrono Package that improves the sprint time to 4.1 seconds.

It’s time to take a little break from all those supercars launched in the past few years and focus on something a little bit older - a Mormon Meteor III, which was the fastest racecar of the 1930s.
In the latest episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, he had to chance to drive this one-off racecar built by Ab Jenkins in 1937 when he was only 17. The Meteor III is based on a Dusenberg SJ and is powered by a massive 26-liter Curtiss Conqueror airplane engine that develops a total of 750 horsepower. Say what Lamborghini ?
In 1939, the car managed to break all the world record on the 12-hour endurance-race circuit and was able to hit a top speed of 171 mph. To help put that into perspective, a Ford Model Y offered in during that period was able to hit a top speed of just 60 mph.

If you do a little search online, you will learn that Khamsin is a dry, hot, dusty local wind, blowing from the south in North Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. Ok, so what does this have to do with Maserati ?
Well, at one point in time, the Italian automaker decided to name a sports car it unveiled at the 1973 Paris Auto Show.
In fact, the Khamsin was introduced as a Bertone prototype in the autumn of 1972, but production was delayed until 1974. The sports car was then powered by a front mounted 4.9-liter V-8 engine delivering 320 horsepower.
Only 430 units were built until 1982 when the model was discontinued. But that still didn’t stop Jay Leno from getting his hands on one. In the latest episode of Jay Leno’s garage, he did just that with the help of Douglas Magnon, Maserati guru and president of the Riverside International Automotive Museum.
Together, the two try to prove what a great car the Khamsin was. No complaints from us here.
The latest episode of the famous Jay Leno’s Garage show brings another great car into focus. Jason Len from XKs Unlimited stops by with a barely street-legal Morgan Plus 8 he developed for racetrack and it looks like Leno had an awesome time behind the wheel!
The Morgan Plus 8 was unveiled in 1968 and remained into production until 2004. Many enthusiasts consider it to be one of the best models developed by the British company. During its life, the Plus 8 only came with V-8 engines, as does this 1970 model reviewed by Leno.
The model brought to Jay Leno’s Garage was designed by the guys over XKs Unlimited as a hot rod, but it is still road legal. So, Jay Leno could enjoy this masterpiece on the public roadways. This customized Plus 8 surely looks very quick. We’re just wondering how Leno felt behind the wheel.
However, as Jay Leno is a big fan of the original cars, he bought this 1963 XKE from a lady which owned it for 50 years.
The 1963 XKE is powered by a 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine that delivers a total of 265 horsepower. The model could sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 7.1 seconds and could go up to a top speed of 149 mph – all respectable numbers for an older car.

A lot of cars make their way to Jay Leno’s Garage but not a lot of them are of the sports-hatch variety.
The Ford Focus RS is one such car and normally, it doesn’t find its way to Jay Leno’s Garage, because, well, it’s not legal to own in America. But this isn’t an ordinary Focus RS; this one has been stamped and tuned by no less than Galpin Auto Sports.
In this episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, the affable comedian and certified car nut invited Beau Bachman, the head honcho of Galpin Auto Sports, to his garage with the latter bringing a heavily-tuned Focus RS. The two proceed to talk about the car itself, including the aftermarket work Galpin Auto Sports did to bump up the output to an impressive 420 horsepower, far and away more than the 305-horsepower output of the standard European Focus RS.

In the latest episode of his show, Jay Leno reviewed a car most of us have never heard of before: a Deronda Sports Car . The model was developed by British manufacturer, Deronda, and was originally offered with an Audi-sourced engine, but this particular model received a few updates.
Its owner decided to replace the standard engine with a Corvette V-8 engine that delivers a total of 400 horsepower. The gearbox has also been replaced with a new Porsche G50 transaxle gearbox.
According to Jay, all these updates have transformed the Deronda Sports Car into a striped out Corvette . Without the extra body panels and all those unnecessary gizmos, we bet this is one disgustingly fast machine.
