The Mopar design team revealed their "Moparized" Jeep and Ram Truck vehicles today at the 2010 New York Auto Show. All of the vehicles will appear at the 44th annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah on March 27th - April 4th, 2010.

The first on the list is the Jeep Wrangler J7, a custom car built off of a Wrangler Rubicon, but stripped of its carpet, fog lamps, alloy wheels and stereo system. Mopar cranked up this military-style vehicle with new front and rear steel bumpers, ‘helicopter hooks’, a heavy-duty tailgate and steel wheels.

In addition to the accessory changes listed above, the car also received a Mopar 2-inch suspension lift, 35-inch Mickey Thompson tires, and a unique Mustard Plug exterior paint.

Tweet Yourself to the New York Auto Show and a Free Jeep Wrangler Islander

1.

Want tickets to the New York Auto Show? Want an all-new Jeep Wrangler Islander? Jeep has made it as simple as tweeting, but you have to make sure and study up on the 70 year old brand. Jeep’s “Tweet-to-Win” contest begins Monday, March 15, 2010 on their Jeep Brand Twitter page, www.twitter.com/jeep. The contest, scheduled for five days, will consist of answering Jeep-branded trivia questions. One question will appear in their Twitter page each day. The first person to answer the question in the correct format will win a trip for two to the 2010 New York International Auto Show. On Thursday, April 1st, the lucky winners will have a chance to dig for the “Golden Tiki” in a huge sandbox provided by Jeep. Whoever finds the “Golden Tiki” first will win a Jeep Wrangler Islander. Call me crazy, but I think this is an awesome marketing tool to create some excitement for the Jeep Wrangler Islander. Combining a popular form of online communication with a free car and tickets to an amazing auto show is just plain genius. Whoever thought of this should get a raise or at least a giant pat on the back.
