With the 2014 Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah, scheduled for April 12th through 20th, Jeep->ke40 and Mopar have announced plans to introduce a new batch of unique Wrangler->ke425-based concept SUVs->ke145.

Six off-road->ke450-capable vehicles will be shown in Utah next week, according to Jeep and Mopar -- the two brands that have joined forces one more time -- but the details are still in the vault, with only a couple of teasers up for grabs.

As you might have already seen earlier, the first one depicts the Cherokee-based Dakar concept, which comes equipped with all the necessary off-road gear and red window trim. The second one gives us a first glimpse at the Wrangler MOJO concept->ke169, which appears to be based on the two-door version of the popular crossover->ke288.

It features a custom bright orange exterior with black stripes and blacked-out front grille, and a winch bumper ready to get it out of any nasty scenario that may occur. As expected, the vehicle rides on bead-lock wheels wrapped in off-road tires, while a proper suspension system is hidden underneath the square fenders.

Considering the fact that Jeep brought five Wrangler concepts->ke169 to the Easter Safari last year, the MOJO won't be the only incarnation of the SUV to be paraded at this year's event. We'll be right back as soon as Jeep rolls them into the spotlight, so make sure you tune in next week.

Jeep Wrangler MOJO in detail

The MOJO concept was fitted with a Jeep Performance Parts "Shorty" bumper and flat-top fenders that allow for the huge, 37-inch BF Goodrich mud tires to operate in the roughest terrain conditions. The 3.6-liter V-6 engine, which features a cold intake and low restriction exhaust system, is protected by a Mopar "Rubicon X" hood with bronze "mapping" accents.

The front end is rounded off with a prototype "Rubicon X" bumper, a Jeep Performance Parts winch, an under-bumper skid plate and prototype LED headlamps and fog lamps.

Rugged on the outside, the Wrangler MOJO isn't that relentless on the inside, where black Katzkin seat covers, a two-tone instrument panel and console and all-weather floor mats are to be found.

Rock-climbing capabilities are provided by a Jeep Performance Parts 2-inch lift, locking Dana 44 front and rear axles, a 4:1 Rock-Trac transfer case and a crawl ratio of 59:1. As with most MOAB concepts, the Wrangler MOJO displays a Badge of Honor plate.

2014 Jeep Wrangler

Jeep's highly popular Wrangler has received very few changes for the 2014 model year, but it gained a handful of special editions, such as the Altitude, Willys Wheeler, Polar Edition, and the Dragon Edition. In all, the 2014 Wrangler can be ordered in ten different variants with prices ranging between $23,000 to $36,000.

Motivation is provided by the already familiar 3.6-liter, Pentastar V-6 that comes with 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The unit can be mated to either a standard six-speed manual or an optional five-speed automatic. The 2014 Wrangler takes about 9 seconds to sprint from naught to 60 mph on its way to a top speed of 125 mph, but we all know this vehicle wasn't conceived to break any velocity records.
