The Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce will be last version of Murcielago built (the replacement is on the way), but it’s also going to be the most powerful Murcielago ever. With 670 hp and a weight reduction of 220 lbs, the LP 670-4 SV makes the 0 to 60 mph sprint in 3.2 seconds and can hit a top speed of 212 mph.

Compared to the LP640, the LP 670-4 SV comes with a new front-end finished in matte black paint, the front spoiler is made from carbon fiber and is connected to the front end via two vertical element, the air intakes are larger. On the rear the supercar gets a veritably noble, flat and extremely wide exhaust tailpipe and, on the underside, by a two-level diffuser system finished entirely in carbon fiber.

The aerodynamics has also been modified: enlarged front spoiler and the twin rear diffuser and also new fixed rear spoiler. A large, fixed, carbon-fiber wing mounted on two carbon-fiber brackets comes as an option.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster special edition limited to only 50 units

Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster special edition limited to only 50 units

Lamborghinis are already pretty rare, so owing a special edition means being part of very exclusive company. Lambo is going for the ultra-rare territory with a Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster that will be limited to 50 units.

What should make this one so special is that it will borrow the 6.5-liter V12 from the Reventon. While the engine in the standard Murcielago LP640-4 shares many components from the Reventon, the ultra-rare bull has about 19 more hp than the 631 hp Murcielago. The outside of the new roadster should share the same grey paintwork as the Reventon, but it will also get bright orange accents.

Murcielago LP640 "Dracula Edition"

Murcielago LP640 "Dracula Edition"

Just because the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 has little "wings" that deploy from the side rear doesn’t make it Dracula...or does it?

This Murcielago was spotted recently, after tit completerd a rally called "the Challenge" across Europe. For you Lambo lovers out there, this isn’t as offensive as it seems. The graffiti-like paint job isn’t a paint job at all; it’s a wrap .

2009 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 & Murcielago LP 640 Ad Personam

Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 & Murcielago LP 640 Ad Personam

Why let have all the aftermarket customizers have all the fun? We’ve seen plenty of matte finish cars: matte black on Ferraris, Porsches and Rolls-Royces; even a matte gold Nissan GT-R and a matte grey Lamborghini Gallardo. Now Lamborghini is doing the dull-finish cars on its own straight from the factory.

Lamborghini unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show what it calls Ad Personam editions for the Gallardo LP 560-4 and the Murcielago LP 640. These editions are showcased in an very cool looking matte blue color. If the blue doesn’t tickle your particular fancy, the Ad Personam editions also comes in Nero Nemesis (matt black), Bianco Canopus (matte white) and Marrone Apus (matt brown). Lambo says if these are still not the colors you want, Ad Personam offers its customers complete freedom to choose any color imaginable. In other words, Ad Personam will offer colors ad nauseam.

Murcielago LP670-4 SV new details

Murcielago LP670-4 SV new details

Lamborghini has used the "SV" name for a while on its cars. It usually means a higher performance version of the car, and it usually comes towards the end of the car’s life. The last time Lambo used the name SV, which stands for "Sport Veloce" (or Sport Fast), was on the Diablo. This car used the Diablo VT’s power and performance upgrades but saved weight by ditching the VT’s all-wheel drive system.

Now that the Murcielago’s replacement is on the way, the SV name has been resurrected. Unlike the Diablo SV, the Murcielago SV will retain the all-wheel drive system, but there should still be a weight savings of about 100 kg (220 lbs.) with the use of carbon fiber panels. There should also be an increase of about 30 hp over the standard LP640. The 662 hp SV should be good for a 0-60 time of 3.2 seconds.

For those who think that a Murcielago looks too ordinary for daily use (these are the same people who think hot pink leather pants are appropriate churchware,) the SV may help them become more conspicuous. The car is supposed to come with especially shiny black paintwork as well as an optional large “SV” graphic like the Diablo version.

We should get our first official glimpse of the LP670-4 SV in March at the Geneva Motor Show. The car will be limited to only 350 units. Deliveries should begin in June with a price tag of around $400,000 to $420,000.

Edo Competition LP710 Christian Audigier Edition

Edo Competition LP710 Christian Audigier Edition

How many times have you heard this, "I would really like to get a Lamborghini Murcielago, but its just not exclusive or fashionable enough for me."

Yup, we hear it everyday at the Yacht Club too. But now all those who just can’t spend enough have a new option, Edo Murcielago LP710/2 Christian Audigier Edition. The very limited edition tuned Murcielago is made even more exclusive as only five of these from designer Christian Audigier are planned.

What makes this supercar extra special are some fashion accessories. Edo already upgraded the 6.5-liter V12 from 640 hp to 710 hp. Every car will be completely customized to the buyer’s tastes, which is a good think considering each will cost about $690,000 (about $280,000 more than the "standard" Edo Murcielago LP710/2.)

Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT by Reiter Engineering

Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT by Reiter Engineering

Reiter Engineering was on board for the development of the Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT racecar. So with a little extra tim on its hands, the people at Reiter decided to give this track-only car some modifications so it could be unleashed on the street.

What makes this version recognizable from standard Murcielagos are the raised tail pipes and fixed rear wing. The important part is that its that this Murcielago is on strict weight saving diet. Expect to keep the current car’s 640 hp V12 engine, but like the Gallardo Superleggera, the Murcielago’s all-wheel drive system is ditched for the lighter and more race-friendly rear-wheel drive.

Murcielago SV rumored to debut at Geneva

The Geneva Motor Show in March seems like it’s going to be about luxury and power. It should have the premieres of the Audi TT RS, Rolls-Royce RR4, Mercedes E-Class, and now added to this list is possibly a new version of the Lamborghini Murcielago.

Last year we started hearing rumors about a lighter, meaner version of the Murcielago being tested by the prancing bull. Known as the Murcielago SV (Super Veloce) will be built to be more aggressive than the standard car, which is already a tall order. We’ve seen multiple spy shots that have a three piece rear spoiler (and you though Lambo was done was outrageous Countach-like designs.)

That’s all that is really known about the car. Rumors are going around that the new Lambo keeping all-wheel drive, the ground clearance will be lowered to 9 cm, it may get some visual cues from the the Reventon, V12 will make as much as 680, but all of that is just speculation.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 by LB Performance

Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 by LB Performance

LB Performance has decided to answer the loud (or nonexistent) cries of Lamborghini owners who don’t believer their standard Murcielagos look aggressive enough. The Japanese tuning company, believes that bolt-on body pieces are the key to making the cars look more like the younger LP640 or Reventon siblings.

For the interested Lambo owners, there are 23 components listed on the LB Performance site, including front spoilers, custom wheels and diffusers. There are a number of different versions of each component offered, including a Reventon style front spoiler or a LP640 style front spoiler. There are also a variety of rear bumpers, all of which highlight the rear diffuser. Some of them feature what LB Performance calls a "muffler cutter" (basically a modification that transforms the Lamborghini Murcielago’s singular central exhaust into a 2-pipe exhaust system.)

What ever happened to the classic look of an original?

IMSA GTR Spyder based on the Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster

IMSA GTR Spyder based on the Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster

Even though IMSA may not be as well know as other German tuners, such as EDO Competition or Brabus, it can still provide a great power upgrade kit for the Lamborghini Muricelago Roadster. Inspired by the LP640 model the new kit features a minor power bump, an aggressive aero kit and a new wheel and tires package. Named the GTR Spyder, the new car is capable of 708 hp and has a claimed top speed of 217 mph.

The new model is available with a custom wide-body kit which includes a carbon diffuser, a rear spoiler and additional air-intakes. It also features a high-flow sports exhaust system with a valve-control system meant to enhance the noise no matter the speed. No words about the price yet.
