Auto Veloce gives Ferrari F430 a Lamborghini treatment
 
Since time immemorial – or at least since the automobile was invented – man has found countless ways to push the envelope when it comes to super cars. Yet despite their dissimilarities, supercars generally hold a couple of things in common, chief among them are their awe-inducing power and their gaudy price tags. That being said, it’s hard to mistake a Ferrari for a Lamborghini and vice versa, thanks in large part to the distinct features both Italian supercar makers have from each other. But as is the case with the bold and the ingenious, Japanese tuners Auto Veloce have found a way to infuse design elements found in the Lamborghini and put them into a Ferrari F430. Not exactly the holiest of collaborations, but the whole Ferrari-Lamborghini look by Auto Veloce works wonders on both the untrained eye of a regular Joe and the steely and scrutinizing mind of a gear head. Notice that this particular F430 now comes with Lamborghini’s distinct front air dam, quarter panel intakes, and rear wing that look suspiciously inspired by a Lamborghini Murcielago Super Veloce. We don’t know if that was the look Auto Veloce was hoping for, but judging by the Lambo-Ferrari mash-up, we pretty much figured what kind of look the tuning house was aiming for. If you are into tuning even the most powerful supercar, then this probably isn’t the first time you’ve heard about Performance Power Racing. This tuning firm is based in West Palm Beach, Florida and is famous for their 2006 Ford GT that has become the fastest car in the world to break 250mph in the Standing Mile. Now the tuner is offering the public a chance to make their Murcielago look like a Reventon. The body kit includes a new panel, headlights, and taillights with twin and quad turbo systems available. In fact, almost every part is replaced with a new one to give it a full Reventon styling. The tuner is also offering horse power levels from 800 to 1500 HP. The performance power custom hard top for the Murcielago Roadster is the only full top available. This will enable the roadsters to exceed 100mph. The factory soft top cannot be supported at such high speeds so Performance Power Racing has brought the full top as a perfect solution. The full top is available in Carbon Fiber or Fiberglass. It’s true that weddings are, without question, one of the most important days in every girl’s life. On the other hand, if you’re the groom, the only thing that concerns you on your wedding day is how big of a hole the entire festivity has put in your bank account. Of course, if money isn’t a question, then weddings can still be as memorable for the men as they make it out to be and you only need to look at this Chinese wedding to prove it. This particular wedding had quite an automotive entourage, featuring 12 - yes, you read that right - Lamborghinis, including three Murcielago LP670-4 Super Veloce, two Murcielago LP640, five Gallardo LP560-4, and one Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni Edition. And, yeah, there were also two Rolls Royce Phantoms in the mix, but they certainly look more like afterthoughts when lined up against all those those Lamborghinis. Whoever thought that day would come where a Phantom - two, no less - would be the featured marquee vehicle on a wedding? But, apparently, that’s how this wedding rolls. How’s this for a major fire bummer. A beautiful Lamborghini Murcielago was spotted in Brooklyn, New York earlier today, but, unfortunately, this exotic beauty had nothing beautiful about it. That is, unless, you find burning exotic cars beautiful. There are a number of speculations going around from witnesses at the scene as to how the Lamborghini ended up being toasted. One of them being that the crisped Murcielago was stolen by two men who eventually decided that stealing a $350,000 supercar wasn’t fun enough. Apparently, the two men upped the ante by lighting it on fire. Another witness, however, said that the supercar just caught fire inexplicably, which wouldn’t be too far out of the realm of the imagination considering that these cars have been prone to catch fire on occasion. We don’t know which story carries more weight and, quite frankly, we don’t really care how the Lamborghini Murcielago burned down, only that it did. There used to be 10 Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV China Editions. Key phrase in that sentence would be "used to be". Yes, unfortunately, we have received word that one of those supercars have seen an untimely death. It was in a pretty serious accident on June 6th in Beijing and the pictures depict just that. Apparently, the driver was going 180 km/h when he lost control, left the road, and struck a group of trees before coming to rest 100 meters down the road. Thankfully, there were no pedestrians on the road and both passengers were okay even though they were not wearing their seat belts. In the midst of all those sparkling Lamborghinis, the third installment of the Ultimate Lamborghini Experience that was held recently at the California Speedway had a pretty important person on-hand in the form of no other than Lamborghini’s world-famous chief test driver, Valetino Balboni. In this video, Balboni takes the newest supercar to come out of Sant’Agata, the Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera and drives it around together with the rest of the Lamborghini flock. Check it out! Here’s something people should know about supercars; Unlike some mainstream vehicles, turning a supercar into a custom-designed art car is, more often that not, a frowned upon endeavor. It’s not that they don’t deserve it; it’s more like they don’t need it. Take for example a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4. By all accounts, this car doesn’t need any add-on art to make it stand out because, on its own, it’s already one of the most eye-catching cars in the world. Unfortunately, we don’t live in a perfect world and somebody is bound to mess up a Gallardo by putting in some weird, abstract, vinyl wrap on it. Yeah, something like what Paul Pascarella - an artist based in New Mexico - did. On it’s own, the Gallardo is finished in Lamborghini’s Blue Cepheus exterior color with a Blue Scylla & Cuoio Olimpus interior. Sounds about good, right? Well, Pascarella just had to add something to it to make it stand out: a weird abstract art that was tacked on to the car’s central section, from the hood all the way back to the rear. You gotta love Valentino Balboni, maybe even feel a little jealous of the dude. Not only has he been Lamborghini’s chief test driver for the better part of 40 years, but Lambo even rewarded the man with his very own line of special-edition Murcielagos, calling them the LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni Edition. We can only be so lucky. Recently, Mr. Balboni sat down with 0-60 Magazine and talked about a host of topics, not the least of which included what his thoughts were on Lambo rival Ferrari, calling it a "beautiful car" and comparing the two iconic Italian supercar brands as "two beautiful women". The video also features Balboni taking his namesake supercar - the LP 550-2 also happens to be the first rear-wheel drive supercar Lamborghini has released in well over 10 years - out for a ride, bringing it with him on the wet and slippery roads of New York’s Bear Mountain. For those of you who were in Tokyo during this past weekend, you might have attended the Special Import-Car Show. For those who didn’t, here’s a car that got all of the attention at the show: the Veilside Premier 4509 Limited. The Lamborghini Murcielago is painted in matte dark gray, including the headlamps. It sits on a height adjustable air suspension from the Japanese brand Roberuta. The exterior kit includes: a full front and rear bumper replacement, sideskirts with a rear wing and rear diffusers inspired from the LP640 Super Veloce If you look closely enough, you can also get a peak at the twin exhaust tips sneaking out of the negative space in th emiddle of the rear bumper. The supercar also gets some power updates thanks to the addition of Nitrous Oxide, but there is no word on exactly how much HP you’ll get. Just because somebody has the financial resources to buy a supercar, it doesn’t mean that they have the skills to tame these wild beasts. We figure that this guy driving the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 Super Veloce has no idea that he’s actually dragging the clutch of his supercar as he was trying to load it onto a truck. Otherwise, he should have been sensitive enough to hear the choking noise it was producing. We’re not going to stop anyone from buying cars of the Murcielago’s stature, but we do have some pretty important advice to share with these types of people.
