All good things must come to an end, so the Gallardo is packing things up and moving out of Lamborghini’s top spot to make room for a brand new baby. The Italian brand has yet to confirm the name of the future supercar, but convincing data is calling it the Cabrera, a likely possibility considering the Cabrera is the name of a famous Spanish fighting bull. The new Cabrera is expected to make its debut in 2013 and should follow the same evolutionary path as the Aventador, meaning fiercer lines and a more powerful engine. The future Cabrera will be made from a lightweight carbon fiber monocoque, the same used on the new Aventador. This will decrease the weight of the future supercar making it easier for the supercharged V10 the Cabrera will feature. This V10 engine is the same one found in the Gallardo, but it has been given a supercharger to crank the 552 HP up to 600 HP. With the task of taking on Ferrari’s current 458 Italia, the Lamborghini Cabrera will surely need the 600 powerful bulls charging under the hood. Four wheel drive is also still being considered. Expect the new Lamborghini Cabrera to show up sometime next year, just in time for the 2013 model year. UPDATE 06/29/2012: Automobile Magazine is reporting that the Cabrera is being pegged to be at Frankfurt next year and will come with a number of new features, highlighted by a drop in weight (66 pounds) that results in a new 0-62 mph time of 3.4 seconds and an improved top speed of 203 mph. The range of the third generation Gallardo could also give birth to a number of variants in the years thereafter, including the Spyder, the Superleggera, and potentially, the Performante. .
35 comments: Lamborghini Cabrera Well, I guess this production car would be high speed performing vehicle with its modern technology and taking for granted that Lamborghini will build this.
 This type of sports car needs a high quality of performance in the engine. The light color gives more attractive and aggressive for the car.
 At last, they are finally revealing the Cabrera, the most awaited production in the line-up of Lamborghini. The boost in the horsepower of the car is quite impressive.
 It looks so aggressive on its design, which is very noticeable on this Cabrera! However, I think its better if they use V12 engine on it rather than V10 only for the fact that it is a sports car.
 I love this Cabrera and even though it looks too broad and huge for a sports car, it still looks very perfect on me. I just only hope that it has also an impressive engine that is suited for this kind of car.
 I love the body paint that they used on it, so cool and unique!  Moreover, V10 engine is really great, but I think it is better if they use a V12, for it to be more exciting to drive!
 It looks so perfect with its body paint! Well, I must say that its engine is really quite good but not enough for a sports car like this. I think they should boost it more, so that it would be more impressive.
 Cabrera had the same platform with their Gallardo but I’m still impressed with it and I must say that it is already looking great with its body paint. As for the engine output of it, I can say that it is really quite impressive but not so great for a super car.
 It is already looking great on its body paint, but I have to agree that it looks so huge and broad. I also noticed that the engine and horsepower of this one is kind of impressive, but for a sports car like this, I think they should enhance it more.
