The Novitec Tuning Group->ke1896 has been responsible for some of the sickest tuning programs attached to the Ferrari->ke252 and Maserati->ke51 brands. That’s in large part due to the success of its Rosso and Tridente tuning brands. But in 2013, Novitec decided to branch out and create another sub-brand that would be dedicated to that other Italian supercar brand, Lamborghini.->ke44 Hence, Novitec Torado was born. In short order, Novitec Torado has certainly lived up to its hype, thanks in large part to impressive tuning kits for the Aventador and the Aventador Roadster. Now that Lamborghini has released the Huracan,->ke4345 Novitec Torado has followed suit with a tuning kit for Lambo’s newest supercar.->ke177

The program reflects the kind of attention to detail that Novitec Rosso and Novitec Tridente are known for. Novitec Torado prepared a comprehensive aerodynamic program that adds to the Huracan’s visual looks, as well as its performance capabilities. The tuner even has wheel options for the Aventador->ke3624 to go with a suspension kit that helps the Huracan adjust to the extra power it’s now carrying.

Overall, Novitec Torado’s program for the Huracan takes a page from its Rosso and Tridente counterparts to showcase what Novitec can do to a Lamborghini. The sub-brand may be a relative neophyte compared to other Novitec tuning brands, but it has been able to adapt quite nicely to the standards set by its cousins.

Unfortunately, this particular kit for the Huracan is only available in limited quantities.

Exterior

Novitec Torado is arguably one of the most meticulous tuners in the business today. That much is evident in the extensive aerodynamic package given to the Huracan. The tuner even utilized wind tunnel testing to ensure that the shape and design of the individual aero components are up to par. All in all, there are over 20 individual aero components available for the Huracan, each serving a function of improving the supercar’s aesthetics and performance capabilities. Some of the more prominent components include a front spoiler lip, rear wing, diffuser, roof air scoops, and side flaps. All these items are made from carbon fiber. The kit also has a number of carbon fiber covers for the engine, front lip, and the Huracan’s rear-view camera.

The Lamborghini tuner is also offering a variety of wheel and tire combinations, all of which are matched directly to each tuning project so as to eliminate any need for adjustments to the original setup. All wheel sizes measure 20 inches and are available in a Wheel-Star design in a number of different finishes. All the available wheels are shod in Pirelli P-Zero tires, measuring 255/30 R20 in the front and 355/25 R21 at the back.

Interior

As extensive as the exterior modifications are, Novice Torado surprisingly kept the Huracan’s interior untouched. It’s admittedly a little disappointing given how much attention was paid on making the supercar’s exterior look the way it does. But, I’m not going to start questioning Novitec Torado's decision-making. If it feels that the Huracan kit has more to give by keeping the cabin intact, then it must have a reason for doing so. Either way, it’s not like the new Lambo needs too much dressing up. It already looks fantastic the way it is.

Drivetrain

The engine modification on the Lamborghini Huracan is pretty straightforward, presumably the way Novitec Torado intended it to be. Work on the Huracan’s 5.2-liter, V-10 only consists of a supercharger conversion that helps bring the supercar’s output up to 860 horsepower and 708 pound-feet of torque, an increase of 250 ponies and 295 pound-feet of torque. That’s the equivalent of a hot hatchback’s total output!

Novitec Torado didn’t say how this drastic performance increase will affect the Huracan’s performance times, but if I can make an educated guess, the Lambo’s standard 0 to 62 mph sprint time of 3.2 seconds and top speed of over 202 mph will pale in comparison to what this Novitec Torado-tuned Huracan can do. It’s not out of the question to see this beast of a machine hit 62 mph in under three seconds and spit out a top speed of around 217 mph. That would put it in some really impressive company, wouldn’t it?

To help optimize all that power, Novice Torado is also adding a power-optimised exhaust system that customers can avail either with flap regulation or without one.

Prices

Novitec Torado is only building 25 units of this particular program for the Lamborghini Huracan, making it an extremely desirable piece for fans of the Italian supercar. No mention was made on how much the kit is going to cost, but seeing as there’s a “limited” tag attached to it, expect the kit to be priced pretty heftily.

Lamborghini Huracan LP850-4 Lucifero By Wheelsandmore

The Lamborghini Huracan has been the subject of so many tuning programs in the past year that it’s become a headache keeping track of all of them. Fortunately, a few ones do stand out, including the Lucifero program from Wheelsandmore.

The German tuner is predisposed on developing some of the most impressive performance kits in the business. That’s been proven time and again. So when the development for the Lucifero program began, the German tuner saw to it that the Huracan was given not one, not two, but three performance upgrades. The first stage only brings the output up to 640 horsepower, thanks largely to the simple additions of a carbon-frame air filter and a hand-made, stainless steel exhaust system.

From there, Wheelsandmore added a compressor kit with a reinforced clutch and a differential lock to its Stage II kit for the Huracan. These additions help bring the power of the supercar’s 5.2-liter V-10 engine up to 777 horsepower. Finally, Wheelsandmore brought an ECU remap into the picture as part of the Stage III for the Lamborghini supercar. With all these modifications in place, the Stage III kit can bring the Huracan’s output to 850 horsepower, right smack in the neighborhood of Novitec Torado’s own program for the newest Lambo on the block.

In addition to this comprehensive engine upgrade, Wheelsandmore also has a variety of 20- and 21-inch, race-inspired FIWE wheels on offer for the Huracan.

Lamborghini Huracan by xXx Performance

xXx Performance’s aftermarket kit for the Lamborghini Huracan is another new addition to the list of tuning programs that are now available for the new exotic. Just like Novitec Torado, xXx Performance used a similar stategy with its own kit by giving the Huracan a nice exterior update. The only difference is that xXx focused on livening up the supercar’s aesthetics instead of focusing on improving its aerodynamic qualities. The result is a car that looks standard except for its fancy Chrome Lime Matte foil body wrap.

The fellow tuner from Germany also put in some work on the Huracan’s V-10 banger, adding a new air intake and its own ECU remap to push the output of the Italian exotic tho 690 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. It may not be as significant of an output increase compared to what Novitec Torado achieved, but it’s no less impressive considering that the xXx-tuned Huracan also benefits from a new sound flap control stainless steel sport exhaust system that helps reduce the supercar’s back pressure.

It may be a simpler program by comparison, but like I said, it still brings out a new level of attitude out of the mighty Lamborghini supercar.

Conclusion

If there’s one thing that Novitec Torado has shown in its relatively short life, it’s that it has proven to be more than capable of living up to the obscenely high standards set by both Novitec Rosso and Novitec Tridente. I personally appreciate the wealth of aerodynamic components this kit has. The dual-purpose of improving the car’s looks and its performance capabilities is the kind of killing-two-birds-with-one-stone strategy that I can get onboard with.

Add that to the impressive engine upgrade that puts the car’s power to 860 horsepower and you have a tuning kit that’s worthy of its name.
