2011 Range Rover Evoque AR8 City-Roader by Arden

Well that didn’t take too long, did it? The Range Rover Evoque hasn’t been out all that long and it has already received its first tuning package from German tuner, Arden. Guess after the lights fade and the sparkles burn out, even the Ranger Rover Evoque can use a little updating. And we definitely mean a little, as Arden’s package only provides minor updates that were done to make the SUV sportier and stronger, and give it a more urban appearance.

The AR8 City-Roader package takes the 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine found in the Evoque and adds a new handmade stainless steel exhaust system and high performance catalyst. These additions make for a 30 HP increase, from 240 HP to 270 HP. Not much, but enough to make a small difference in the overall output.

The aerodynamic package isn’t all that involved either. A new front and rear apron have been added, as well as new side skirts that can come illuminated as an option. The obligatory new wheels have also been taken car of with a set of ARDEN Dakar II rims. Arden claims that these rims are not only beautiful and very safe, but also allow a very individual and personal grading. Finishing off the package is a stainless steel plaque with personal lettering that can be placed in a specially designated hollow.

It looks too huge on its platform, especially on its front bumper! That’s why I found it so heavy on that, and for sure it can affect on its speed performance. However, I can say that I’m impressed with its decency.

It maybe looks so sporty, but I don’t think that its engine output would only be good enough for this one. Upgrading its engine can’t really harm it all. Anyway, I am expecting it also to be a luxurious vehicle the fact that it is Rover car.

Yeah, they were really making their car look sporty but this one seems bulky. It seems that this one is hard to handle for the fact that this one is heavy.

Yes, I would agree with you on that one. I really like they were able to make the car look more sporty with the body kit. Nice engine upgrades too.

This would be going to be a good choice for the whole great package qualities that possess for this Range rover Evoque, with no doubt this hollow thing i prefer to choice with.

Well, this Range Rover AR8 has its own self image that i can say a good model, The bulky image represents a stronger and firm quality, and it shows the appearance that makes it stands out in the crowd.

Well, based from what i can see that Arden has make some minor modification but the whole package of the Evoque was retained. The increase in the power is not that impressive also.

The wheels are really the ones that work for me on this one. Those large sets surely make the Rover stand out more. Overall, this one is a really good package.

I like how they did the front on this one, looks really cool. The grille is also especially noteworthy. And the wheels that they slapped onto this also look great.

Well, for sheer looks alone, I would give this rover an eight. On the performance side, I will probably forgive the dismal increase in power, since the Rover really doesn’t need that much.

Not really that much improvement on the engine, but the added 30 hp will certainly go a long way. Anyway, the whole point of this modification might be the exterior.

Yeah, this one really is not as spectacular as I had hope, there seems to be something missing in the whole setup. And the improvement in the engine output isn’t really that much.

This one for the Evoque is certainly looking good. Really liked what they did on the wheels. The engine also receives a significant upgrade.
