The Land Rover Discovery might not be as impressive as the Defender as far as off-roading capabilities go, but, to Kahn Design->ke1726, the former is equally suited to receive an aftermarket makeover. Kahn and the Land Rover->ke46 brand go a long way back, with the British design firm having released a batch of upgrades for the SUV.

In an earlier package, Kahn selected a twin-turbo, SDV6-powered Discovery and enhanced its visuals by means of an aggressive aerodynamic package, 22-inch wheels, and a revamped interior. Now, the design house launched a new program for the Discovery, this time picking yet another SDV6 to showcase its skills. Dubbed RS300, the SUV gains some of Kahn's usual updates inside and out, with the final result presenting itself as a unique, luxurious rig.

New fenders, large wheels, and a bespoke interior add a touch of sportiness and class to an otherwise go-anywhere, purpose-built vehicle.

Land Rover Discovery 3.0 TDV6 By Kahn Design in detail

Unlike most Land Rover Discovery models, the RS300 wears a rather unusual Fuji White white suit, which is complemented by several black body parts, including front fender grilles, door handles, and headlight and taillight surrounds. Enhancing the contrasting theme even further is a set of 22-inch RS-X wheels finished in satin black and rounded off by a white-colored outer lips. Add-ons continue with a brand-new, trademark 3D mesh grille, LED daytime running lights and integrated RS air dams for the front and rear fenders. Around back, the tinted glass and the Kahn tailgate logo are further proof this is no regular Discovery.

Things get even more spectacular inside, where all seven seats are wrapped in soft, red leather with a quilted and perforated design. New stitching adorns the door arm rests, while a set of custom floor mats increase the premium look of the cabin. Moving over to the dashboard, Swarovski diamonds surround the center clock bezel, while new speed and rpm gauges come to replace the factory units. In the usual Kahn fashion, customers are greeted by stainless-steel door sills.

No powertrain updates were operated, which means this Land Rover Discovery benefits from the same 252 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque available from the factory. The standard model can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 9.3 seconds and onto a top speed of 112 mph. Kahn has yet to release pricing for the RS300, but expect a hefty premium over the vehicle's base U.K. price of £46,865 ($80.381 as of 07/03/2014) for the XS trim.
