The Range Rover Evoque may not be as imposing as the Sport or the Discovery in its bone-stock form, but take the small SUV over to Kahn Design and you’ll be driving completely new vehicle once it leaves the shop. Just take a look at the Black Label Edition the Brits launched for the 2013 model year to have a better taste of their craftsmanship.
Sure, the Black Label Edition and its triple-black suit is a tad sober for the Evoque’s shape and purpose, but there’s more than one way to skin a cat in Kahn’s workshop. For instance, the company’s most recent attempt at enhancing the Evoque showcases a sportier approach that brings together weight reducing strategies and a flamboyant look.
Cutting weight is achieved with help from a new set of carbon composite bumpers that shave a few pounds off the compact crossover that now carries a Volcanic Grey wrap. Complementing the new exterior color are a number of matte black body parts, including a trunk spoiler lip, a sump guard, a rear diffuser, and the side vents mounted on the front fenders.
As with most Kahn-badged Range Rovers, the Evoque RS Sport also benefits from a 3D mesh front grille, LED daytime running lights, an extended upper roof wing, and a stainless steel exhaust system.

Land Rover Range Rover Evoque RS Sport By Kahn Design in detail
Improving the vehicle’s stance even further are a set of new springs and large gloss black wheels at all four corners. The springs enable the Evoque to sit closer to ground by nearly one inch, while the 22-inch rims wrapped in low-profile tires add to its stealthy appearance without compromising the handling.
In the usual Kahn fashion, the Evoque’s cabin is packed with fine, soft-touch materials covering anything from the seats to the center glove box, the roof headline and the transmission tunnel. Everything is re-upholstered perforated black Nappa leather and Alcantara, both augmented by white contrast stitching.
The interior is rounded off by a diamond gear selector, a red speedometer and tachometer, and a pair of machined aluminum pedals.
With its performance-oriented design and exceptional interior trim, the Kahn RS Range Rover Evoque RS Sport has been prepared by the highly skilled, experienced specialists at A. Kahn Design using a combination of hi-tech materials and artisan craftsmanship.
In keeping with our lightweight design philosophy, front and rear bumper replacements have been engineered in carbon composite material.
The RS Sport tech pack is completed by a 3D mesh front grille, LED daytime running lights, front bumper mesh in matt black, lower boot lid spoiler lip in matt black, extended upper roof wing, rear tailgate trim in gloss black, brake calipers finished in liquid gold, 20mm lowering springs, twin crosshair exhaust system in stainless steel, sump guard in matt black, side vents in matt black, lower boot lid spoiler, rear diffuser in matt black, door handles and door mirrors in piano black and Kahn bonnet and tailgate lettering.
How does this volcanic grey beauty cope with RS 9.5 x 22" gloss black wheels on the road? Very nicely! The grip, body control and handling remain uncompromised, ensuring there is no trade off between looks and performance.
A multitude of improvements inside the cabin allow the driver to bask in the opulence and elegance of the trademark Kahn interior, which includes 2014 perforated front and rear seats in black nappa leather with Alcantara.
Closer inspection reveals a focus on finer details including a diamond gear selector, centre glove box re-upholstered in perforated black nappa leather, rev counter dial in red, speedo & rev counter coloured facia, machined vented aluminium foot pedals and intricately hand woven transmission tunnel, roof headline stitching and transmission tunnel in Alcantara with contrast stitching.
Discreet Kahn branding completes the package and leaves no-one in any uncertainty as to the basis of this stylish purposeful design and painstaking attention to detail. You will never look at a Evoque in the same way again.
