The second-generation Range Rover Sport made its official debut at the 2013 New York Auto Show . It went on sale in a choice of four equipment levels, with the Autobiography sitting right at the top and an extensive choice of colors, finishes, and options waiting to be checked. Needless to say, the Range Rover Sport is one of the most customizable SUVs on the market.
However, the British seem to think customers could be persuaded to check even more boxes on the options list and are responding accordingly with a brand-new package. Surprisingly enough, the new pack doesn’t improve the vehicle’s interior in terms of luxury or technology. The new bundle is all about styling and advertises a subtle approach that may go unnoticed to the untrained eye.
Conspicuous or not, the Stealth Pack will benefit from a fancy debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed , where a properly equipped Range Rover Sport will showcase its new body features while climbing up the Goodwood hill.

Land Rover Range Rover Sport Stealth Pack in detail
The Stealth Pack adds a number of visual upgrades to the Range Rover Sport’s exterior, leaving the interior and the engine compartment untouched. Enhancements begin up front, where a Satin Black grille and grille surround replace the Gloss Black pieces that come with the HSE Dynamic and the Autobiography Dynamic models. Granted, it’s not a huge improvement as the satin finish is mostly noticeable only in certain light conditions.
The fog lamp bezels, hood and fender vents, upper mirror caps and the tailgate benefit from the same satin treatment, while the non-reflective headlamps and the taillights gain a stealth finish of their own by means of blacked-out housings and black surrounds, respectively. As it stands, these changes look quite nice on the Fuji White-painted Range Rover Sport showcased by the company in these photos. However, the overall effect is likely to fade when the Stealth Pack is selected on brighter colors.
Rounding out the appearance bundle are two different sets of wheels offered in the same Satin Black finish and complemented by Gloss Black nuts. Buyers can order the rollers in either 21- or 22-inch sizes in a nine-spoke or five-spoke design, respectively. Unfortunately, the Stealth Package is a U.K.-only option for now and will retail at £1,700 with the 21-inch wheels or £2,500 with the 22-inch wheels. That’s about $2,900 and $4,200, respectively, as of 06/17/2014.
Order books for the Stealth Package will open in July 2014, right after its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Deliveries will commence toward the end of the year for both HSE Dynamic and Autobiography Dynamic models. The package is available with any of the three engines currently offered with the aforementioned trim levels: the 3.0-liter SDV6 diesel, the 4.4-liter SDV8 diesel and the supercharged 5.0-liter V-8.
The Range Rover Sport, the fastest, most agile, most responsive Land Rover ever, now has even greater appeal, with the availability of the Stealth Pack on HSE Dynamic and Autobiography Dynamic derivatives. Order books will open in July and first customer deliveries are expected towards the end of the year.
Making its global debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed next week, the Range Rover Sport Stealth Pack features a set of exterior design enhancements, including satin black front grille and grille surround, fog lamp bezels, bonnet and fender vents, upper mirror caps and tailgate finisher. Stealth finish on non-reflective headlamp and tail lamp surfaces along with a choice of 21” 9-spoke, or 22” 5-spoke wheels, in satin black finish with wheel nuts in gloss black, further distinguishes the vehicle.
Gerry McGovern, Land Rover’s Design Director & Chief Creative Officer, commented: “With the addition of the Stealth Pack, we are further extending the appeal of the Range Rover Sport and offering even greater choice to our customers.”
The new Range Rover Sport is the most dynamic Land Rover yet, providing owners with an agile and responsive driving experience on or off-road and has won more than 50 global awards since its launch.
Every Range Rover Sport is crafted using the highest quality materials with carefully selected colours and textures to enhance the model’s blend of luxury with a sporting character. Available in a choice of 18 exterior colours, designed specifically to complement the huge range of interior leathers, wood veneers and metallic detailing, Range Rover Sport customers can create the ultimate bespoke SUV.
Range Rover Sport customers have a choice of three engines – the 5.0-litre V8 supercharged petrol with 510PS with a 0-60 time of 5.0 seconds, the 4.4 SDV8 diesel with 339PS and 700Nm of torque and the 3.0l SDV6 diesel with 292PS delivering 199g/km and 32.5mpg (combined). It has been engineered to deliver dramatically improved on-road driving dynamics, with more connected and agile handling, complemented by enhanced ride and refinement. The lightweight aluminium suspension is fully-independent, with wide-spaced double-wishbones at the front and an advanced multi-link layout at the rear. Off road capability has not been ignored and still retains class-leading wheel travel (260mm front and 272mm rear) and provides exceptional wheel articulation of 546mm to deal with the toughest conditions.
The upgraded air suspension system automatically varies between two ride heights, while the ground-breaking Terrain Response® 2 system automatically selects the most suitable terrain programme.
The Range Rover Sport Stealth Pack will retail at £1,700 with 21" wheels or £2,500 with 22" wheels and can be seen on the Land Rover stand throughout the Goodwood Festival of Speed, from Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 June.
