The Land Rover Discovery 4 entered the 2012 model year with significant engine improvements, as well as a new exterior and interior look. Along with those changes, the British company has announced the addition of a very cool Black Design Pack which creates a striking new modern look for the Discovery 4 and complements the metallic paint finishes of the car. Since it’s called the Black Design package, we expected a few added black elements and Land Rover delivered with a gloss black grille and fender vents, gloss black door handles and mirror caps, gloss black Land Rover and Discovery 4 badges, and satin black extended roof rails. Customers can also choose between a new set of 19" 7-Split Spoke or 20" 5-Spoke all-black painted wheels. Under the hood, customers will get the usual 3.0 liter LR-SDV6 engine that delivers a total of 256 HP, a 3.0-liter LR-TDV6 diesel with 211 HP, or a 5.0-liter LR-V8 with 375 HP. All of these engines will be combined with either a ZF 8HP70 8-speed automatic transmission or a ZF 6HP28 6-speed automatic transmission. .
8 comments: Land Rover Discovery 4 Black Design Packs the fact about the land cruiser is that you can push it all the way up to it’s limits and feel no remorse about that. i wouldn’t do that to my land rover.
since you brought the land cruiser up, that’s an extremely good car. it’s just that it’s not as luxurious as the discovery.
yes john, you’re right. that’s why i was stating that i would have this one instead of the range rover.
@snow: less expensive? you could have any city car and still have some money left if you have the land rover instead of the range rover.
this is one of my favourite 4x4’s, beside the range rover! considering this is less expensive, i would have this and not be sad about it!
