It was June 1st, 1991. Lexus unveiled the first generation luxury SC series. The SC400 remained into production until 2001 when the second generation luxury convertible went into production. Now Lexus announced that the SC430 will see the end of its life in July 2010. And to mark the occasion, Lexus Japan has revealed a new special edition called "The Eternal Jewel". The Eternal Jewel edition will feature an extreme level of customization to both the interior & exterior color choices, including separate colors for the body and the roof and leather upholstery and wood-grain trim for the interior. Also there will be a serial number plate in the center console. Lexus will build only 200 units of the SC430 "The Eternal Jewel" Edition. .
8 comments: Lexus SC430 "The Eternal Jewel" Edition This SC430 seems so luxurious! Well, it looks very awesome on its dressed up interior and even on its exclusivity, but I bet this will be too expensive on its market production. However, I hope that it has an impressive engine.
 What a fabulous car! they are right that this car is really sexy and oozing with car appeal! Anyone would really love this car and no one can resist the beauty that it had.
 Its gorgeous! Luxury cars like this can give you additional charm to women. Though I believe this car is only built for road tripping or transportation.
 "End of its life" well it’s about time. The original SC, especially with the 4.0 liter V8, was a spectacular luxury GT with the same chassis (minus some reinforcements) as the MKIV Supra and a beautiful yet practical wood and leather interior. But this current version that’s been out since 2001 is a joke; nearly two decades later it is only a tenth faster to sixty than the 1991 car, its roof takes a long 25 seconds to retract compared to 20 of Lexus’ own IS 350C, it has half the trunk space of the original and its back seats are great if you’re an amputee. A hate to rip on my own company, but this second-generation car was outdated when it came out. No one should ever have any reason to buy this laughable automobile when you can get a faster, more comfortable, more practical, more stylish and 20K cheaper IS 350C with the same Lexus quality. I’d love to see Lexus replace this car with one that truly succeeds the original.
