Some customers haven’t even had the chance to fully break in their new Lexus IS 350 sedan and already the company is offering them the chance to spice up their vehicle with some F Sport Performance accessories. Only some of the most important attributes can be updated, such as forged alloy wheels, brake upgrades, suspension systems, air intake, and a sports exhaust system. The F Sport accessories can take your everyday IS 350 and push it in the right direction towards becoming more like the IS-F sports sedan. They will get the Lexus to look like one, but getting the same power as the IS-F Sport will need a completely different trip to a willing and able tuner. Without that trip, the IS 350 with F Sport accessories will get a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing a total of 306 HP at 6,400 RPM and 277 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,800 rpm. The IS 350 is priced at $38,570 in the RWD version, or at $41,030 in AWD version, but the F-Sport package will tack much more depending on the options chosen. Exterior and Interior For the exterior, the F-Sport Performance Accessories adds a new set of 18 or 19-inch forged alloy wheels exclusively designed in a dark graphite finish and a carbon fiber engine cover that provides a high-tech appearance for the hood. There is also a front brake upgrade that provides a firmer pedal feel and improved fade resistance in repeated severe-duty use. The Brake Upgrade features six-piston fixed calipers and drilled cast-iron rotors with a patented internal-fin design mounted on anodized aluminum hubs. If you want to get a more aggressive appearance to the car, there is also a lowering spring set that gets the vehicle down one inch in the front and rear. For the interior, customers can opt for a F Sport Quick Shifter engineered and machined from billet aluminum, F Sport shift knobs constructed from premium leather and genuine carbon fiber, and F-Sport floor mats made from the same high-quality 18 ounce nylon carpet as the factory mats. The Engine The IS350 gets the 3.5-liter V6 engine that now delivers a total of 306 HP at 6,400 RPM and 277 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,800 rpm. The engines will be coupled to a standard six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The F-Sport version gets a performance exhaust system that features all stainless-steel construction with fully polished mufflers and double-wall exhaust tips. In addition to an outstanding appearance, it delivers a powerful, sport-tuned exhaust sound while complying with established sound-level standards and does not affect emissions compliance. The Competition The Lexus IS takes on models like the BMW 335i, Audi A4, and Infiniti G37. The Infiniti is powered by a 3.7 liter V6 engine that delivers 328 Hp. With prices starting from $35,050, the Infiniti G37 achieves more horsepower than the Lexus for less money, but the buyer would be sacrificing some quality for that switch. The BMW 335i can match Lexus in quality, and the price tag will echo that. The Beamer comes in at $41,100 with a 3.0-liter, inline 6-cylinder engine with TwinPower Turbo technology that delivers 300 HP, only 6hp less than the Lexus. The cheapest price tag goes to the Audi A4 with prices starting at $31,950, but it also lacks in horsepower with the 2.0 liter turbocharged DOHC engine only delivering 211hp and 258lb.-ft of torque. 18 comments: Lexus IS 350 F-Sport they just add a standard brake-override system to every model for 2011, no surprise given the intensive publicity surrounding recalls of Toyota and Lexus models in the past year.
 I can’t wait for a write up on an AWD IS350 with the F Sport package. The RX300 in the garage is starting to show it’s age. 
 I wonder if the F Sport package’s ’retuned suspension’ constitutes anything more than the springs and shocks that are offered in the current F Sport catalog.
 Taking inspiration from the ballistic IS F, the F-Sport enhanced IS picks up special suspension and steering tuning, 18 inch wheels, a new lip spoiler in the front and a subtle bootlid spoiler at the rear.
 The IS350 model F-sport is a sleek looking sports car. It kind of puts you in the mind of a BMW. I think this vehicle will looking great in a red or black with some chrome trim. I would love to test drive this vehicle.
 Though I read somewhere that Lexus has overstated the output of the car. The power delivered to the wheels is significantly lower than stated when demo (forgot the exact number). While I think it’s exception for any sedans on the road, it might have trouble holding up against German’s big three.
