2011 Lexus LF-A Pace Car

Formula One uses a Mercedes SLS AMG . The Indianapolis 500 has a Chevrolet Camaro SS . Now, you can add a Lexus LF-A to the growing list of high-powered pace cars that have been used this year by a bonafide racing event.

The 2011 LF-A, Lexus’ resident supercar, served as the official pace car of the 2011 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, an open-wheel racing event held every year at the streets of Long Beach, California. Just in case you need a refresher, the race is part of the Izod IndyCar Series calendar. It was actually held last weekend where England’s Mike Conway emerged as the winner for Andretti Autosport.

Dressed in black with matching white stripes and looking the part of a Japanese zebra, the LF-A Pace Car was undoubtedly a pleasant surprise for a lot of us. We don’t know if the car will be used in other IndyCar races for the rest of the year, but we’re certainly hoping to see more of it down the road, hopefully even at a race that doesn’t have Toyota as a title sponsor.

As a brief refresher, the 2011 LF-A is a supercar that’s powered by a 4.8-liter V10 engine that delivers a maximum output of 560 horsepower with a 0-60 mph time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 202 mph.

HA-HA! It is really cool on its exotic design! I also find it very aggressive on that! It’s a good thing as well that it has an impressive and alluring engine on this.

This pace car of Lexus is so exotic on its exterior style, and it will surely be very noticeable on that. Furthermore, 202 mph of this car is already quite remarkable on it. I just only hope that it also has an impressive interior.

Well, I’m glad that they use an impressive engine specification for this awesome race car of them. smiley I’m pretty sure that it could have a great speed performance on its race.

Yeah, this one will probably be able to go from being a pace car into a race car in a flash. Too bad that they probably won’t be using this one in the competition.

Great! It seems the lexus has made a car pace that absolutely have a high powered racing performance. That will ultimately bring the competition to its lucky charm.

I agree that this car has a good look but as a race car I think the power is just not enough they need a help of the NOS to boost that up! lol

Wait, I thought that Lexus would be running in this year’s Toyota Grand Prix? Oh yeah, now I remember, the race is open only to independent teams.

So when is this Toyota Grand Prix will be held? I like the exterior of this car but for v10 I don’t think that its powerful enough.

Wow, that pace car really belongs to the track. And by that, I am not only referring to trasck duties, with this one’s looks it can also be a racer as well.

lol this LFA is probably gonna be faster than all the race cars! hah jk

I can now guess who will be the favorite of the crowd! I bet with the awesome speed of this car and the sporty look, I will not wonder if their would be an increase in sale after the racesmiley

Wow!I love those stickers! It makes the car look so aggressive and sporty! Except for the awesome design, I will praise also the blasting speed of this car! I can’t wait to see this one on Toyota Grand Prix.

Wow, it seems that all the major races this season are bringing out all the popular model for track duties. That LF-A is definitely looking good for the part.
