2012 Lexus LF-A Tokyo Edition

  Review

Ever since it was revealed a few years ago, the Lexus LF-A has failed to gain the traction similar to some of its European contemporaries. Lexus looks to be aware of that conundrum and is set to do something about it with the upcoming release of a second special edition model of the Japanese supercar.

Following in the trail set by the LF-A Nurburgring Edition, Lexus may soon give birth to another special edition LF-A called the ’Tokyo Edition’. According to CAR Magazine, this particular LF-A will carry some unique features, including an unpainted carbon roof and a specially designed rear spoiler, among other things.

Everything will more than likely stay the same in terms of power, so expect the 4.8 liter V10 to deliver 560 HP at 9,000 RPM and 354 lb-ft of torque at 6,800 RPM. This would mean a 0-60 mph sprint of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 202 mph.

The Lexus LF-A Tokyo Edition is being prepared to make its official debut at the Tokyo Motor Show in the latter part of the year. Once it hits the market, word has it that it will carry a price tag of about $430,000, over $50,000 more than the standard LF-A.

Further details are expected to be revealed leading up to the Tokyo Motor Show, which is scheduled to take place in December 2011.

I love the super sporty appearance of this car. It had so much angst on that, but I don’t think that V10 engine that can only deliver 560 horsepower can give only a better performance on it.

Well, that’s really a great news! V10 engine that can deliver 560 HP is I think quite good and remarkable for this sports car. Moreover, it is already alluring on its design.

Tokyo edition is absolutely awesome! It’s a good thing as well that Lexus use an impressive and powerful engine for this. I just only hope that it could also have an awesome interior.

It is really a great concept vehicle. On the past few days, this car has been upgraded and redesign because of the technology. BTW, This car performance is really great with its V10 engine.

It looks so aggressive on its platform, especially on its front design. Moreover, I’m glad that it has an impressive and efficient engine which could truly give a nice and great speed performance.

I think it is better if they used a V12 engine on this LF-A rather than V10. However, I’m still impressed on how much output it could deliver. Moreover, I have to agree that it really looks so cool on its exterior.

I have to agree with that. Its engine is really a big disappointment on this sports car and as for the looks, it is almost perfect for me. I truly love the angst of it, and it is already looking great with that.

Its engine specification is truly impressive, but the fact that it is a sports car. I don’t think that it will only be quite good enough on it, and could bring a great speed performance. Well, I think they should upgrade it more.

Well, the engine that this LF-A had is absolutely quite good enough for this one, and they are right that it is already looking great on its body paint, if only they include some interior pictures either. smiley

This LF-A tokyo edition will surely be a big success for Lexus! I have to say that I also love the sporty appearance of this sports car, I found it very attractive on its body paint. I wish I could have this also. smiley
