In the upcoming months we will learn lots of new details on the recently launched Lexus RC F , like the official specifications, prices and other optional features. The first of the news started today when Lexus finally released the first images of the optional Carbon Fiber package.
The biggest change that comes with this package is the clear-coated carbon-fiber roof, hood and active rear spoiler, which raises and lowers depending on the coupe ’s speed in order to improve the car’s driving dynamics and stability at high speeds. These new parts not only look cool, but they also help lower the curb weight and lower the center of gravity. This will easily translate into improved performance figures.
No other details were released just yet, but we expect this optional carbon fiber package to add some carbon-fiber goodness on the interior too.

Lexus unveiled the RC F at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show — a few months after the standard RC sports coupe made its world debut. The RC F is distinguished by the usual F elements, like new front and rear bumpers, larger air intakes and a sports exhaust system with stacked trapezoidal quad-outlet tailpipes.
Under its hood, the RC F gets an all-new, 5.0-liter, 32-valve, V-8 engine that delivers more than 450 horsepower and more than 383 pound-feet of torque. Lexus announced the new RC F will be faster than the IS F, meaning that the 0-to-60 mph sprint time should be made in less than 4.5 seconds. Top speed is limited to 168 mph.
