Lorinser

Most of you are starting to think about what to buy to your loved ones, while folks in Germany are getting a good look at cool things to buy their cars at the Essen Motor Show. At this show, the major tuners of Germany, and not only, will display their best kits developed over the years, plus a series of new ones specially created for the show.

Like Lorinser did with this upgrade did based on the new Mercedes S-Class . The kit unveiled at the Essen Motor Show was based on the S550 version, but we’re pretty sure all the other variants will get similar treatments.

A base S550 is powered by a 4.6-liter, V-8 engine that delivers a total of 455 horsepower, but Lorinser managed to squeeze another 75 horses from the powerful engine. With a total of 530 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, the Lorinser S550 will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.8 seconds and up to 155 mph.

"There is nothing we can’ do!"

This is the motto of German tuners Lorinser, if you think that the jaw-dropping Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake can’t be further customized.

For those who are bored of the current AMG kit fitted to the sports wagon, Lorinser has just announced a new body kit and performance upgrades for it that injects even more sexiness into the already sexy wagon. Nice to keep more options for the customer...

Overall, Lorinser has done a great job offering a body kit that doesn’t make the CLS Shooting Brake look very pretentious while still keeping some of the sleek and sexy lines of the standard design. It will appeal to owners looking for a subtle yet impeccably stylish body-kit, though we think that there’s hardly anybody who’d go down that road.

Hit the jump to learn more about the updates offered by Lorinser for new Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake.

Usually when it comes about tuning a model, in general you expect to see significant power upgrades and exterior and interior updates. But Lorinser will bring at the upcoming Essen Motor Show an Easybrid package based on the Smart Fortwo that adds a retrofit electric hub motor with 30 kW (41 HP) additional effective output.

Easybrid® supports the existing fuel- or diesel engines of the individual cars and renders an additional power of approximately 30 kW (about 41hp) for improved acceleration- and final speed outputs. At the same time, the consumption- and CO2-levels drop. As electric engines are very powerful and their maximum torque is reached after only one revolution, it is also possible to move these cars solely on an electric basis.

With this retrofit solution, Lorinser does not only cover all advantages of modern hybrid acceleration, but also allows the driver to choose his operational mode. Apart from the combination of both engines, he can also opt for either the sole electronic or sole combustion engine. The driver can therefore decide if he wishes to use fuel or electricity or a combination of both.

It seems tuners are getting a little antsy when it comes to providing tuning kits for new car models. The Mercedes CLS hasn’t even been launched yet and already tuning firm, Lorinser, has come up with a tuning kit for the luxury sedan. The tuner will make updates to the engine, chassis, and exterior.

"We will distribute our tuning-version globally in 45 countries, therefore a sophisticated body-design is required." Well, lucky for them sophisticated body designs are something they can do well. Remember their rendition of the Mercedes E-Class ? That package is pretty similar to the one being provided for the Mercedes CLS. Both packages add a unique styling to the vehicle. For this tuning kit large air intake grills are added providing a little character to the front end of the elusive Mercedes CLS. They provide an optimal fresh air supply to the engine and brakes. Lorinser has also extended the fenders which leaves plenty of room for the 21-inch light-alloy wheels. This was also provided for the Mercedes E-Class kit provided back in January.

We have already seen a few spyshots of the anticipated Mercedes CLS, but to have a tuning kit provided for a car that has not even been revealed yet is quite an impressive feat for a tuner. Let’s just hope it is what they expect.

UPDATE 07/19/11: More than a year after it was first teased to us, Lorinser has finally released the first batch of photos for the 2012 CLS-Class. That took a while, didn’t it? Well, if your patience wore as thin as ours, then you won’t have any problems digesting the new batch of photos in the gallery below.

The German design team at Sportservice Lorinser knew that by incorporating a strikingly different colored insert into the front bumper that it would emphasize the gills in the fenders as well as the intakes in lower hanging side skirts while the black center section of the rear apron serves a similar purpose complimenting the matte black trunk and roof spoilers adding to the tuned E’s attitude.

Finishing off the modified Mercedes is a set of Lorinser’s signature turbine inspired RS9 rims hiding a high performance sport tuned suspension underneath that ensures that the luxury sedan holds tight around turns and keeps the body level. After popping the 2010 E-Class ’s hood, Sportservice Lorinser tweaked the 5.5 Liter V8 to produce a maximum output of 435 HP and 420 lb-ft of torque, up from the standard car’s 382 HP and 391 lb-ft of twist. Lorinser has successfully transformed the new E Class form a mid size luxury sedan into a sporty four door ready to take on the Autobahn with its speed inspired aero package and additional elbow grease deposited under the hood.

Facelift M-Class by Lorinser

The aftermarket manufacturers at Sportservice Lorinser have just gotten their hands on the new face lifted Mercedes Benz M-Class and given the mid size SUV a refreshing of their own. The craftsmen at the German tuning house started by replacing the shiny factory element with a thick four bar grill; they went on to include a sportier bumpers with wings, diffusers and vents molded in as well as a pair of Lorinser emblem wearing side skirts that make the somewhat rounded grocery getter into a bolder more solid shape. However, quite possibly the nicest part of the Lorinser M-Class are the company’s signature RS9 light weight alloy wheels that finish off the Benz ’s newfound bad attitude.

The Mercedes Benz tuners, Lorinser have just revealed the first official images of their LV8, a vehicle that Mercedes modifiers will be bringing to the Hockenheimring along with partners Continental Tires to compete in the SPORT AUTO Tuner Grand Prix/Drift Challenge on June 26th and the 27th. The LV8 is based on the entry level Benz, the C Class ; but don’t let that fool you. This is definitely a big boy toy.

The LV8 sports a complete aero package and has been fitted with a set of the company’s light-weight alloys wrapped in Continental rubber. So far, the German tuner has not disclosed any information about the performance improvements equipped on the LV8, but they did say that it will compete in the C3 class, a category reserved for limousines and production cars. This baby Benz will certainly need a sufficient helping of boost to help break the back end loose and put up clouds of smoke to impress both the fans and judges if Lorinser wants to keep their heads up.

Although the LV8 will not be a purpose built race car shod with slicks, it will be a 100% street legal road car, offering all the relief of a TUV approval. The supped up C Class will make its official debut on June 26th when the gates at the Hockenheimring open for the 2009 SPORT AUTO Tuner GP/Drift Challenge.
