Ferrari Chairman Luca di Montezemolo is stepping down from his post on October 13th, but before he hands over his Ferrari access cards, the man is going out in a blaze of glory by unveiling a limited-edition Ferrari that will be exclusively sold in the U.S.

There will only be 10 examples of this special Ferrari so yeah, it’s limited alright. But more importantly, it’s also ridiculously expensive. How expensive, you ask? Try $3.2 million, which is the roughly the equivalent of buying a Ferrari LaFerrari and having enough change to score Bugatti Veyron .

Auto News is reporting that the yet-to-be-identified model will be inspired by America, including a predominantly blue paint finish with matching white stripes. Those are the same colors the North American Racing Team that drove Ferraris back in the 60’s used. The same report also indicated that the F12 Berlinetta will likely be the basis of this unique model, sort of like the F12 SP America with a dramatically different body and interior.

I’m not sure what to expect out of this model other than what’s already been disclosed. It’s going to be rare. It’s going to be expensive. And oh, by the way, all 10 units are already sold. Yup. They’re all sold out.

We expect the new Ferrari to make its debut in Los Angeles on October 12th, 2014 during a gala dinner to celebrate the Italian automaker’s 60th anniversary in America. It’s also the day before di Montezemolo steps down so quite literally, this launch will be his swan song with the Prancing Horse. Hard to imagine how you can top that one, Mr. Sergio Marchionne.

A number of automakers may be gearing up for the Paris Motor Show next month, but Audi’s looking ahead to the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2014 to preview its new design language through what’s being described as a large saloon-coupe concept.

Sources close to Autocar indicates that the new concept will be used as a springboard for a potential flagship, four-door model that will replace the A8 as the company’s top-of-the-line luxury sedan. Not surprisingly, the future model is going to be called the A9.

The concept will also be unveiled to showcase Audi’s new design direction developed under the stewardship of Marc Lichte, the same man who designed the current-generation Volkswagen Golf and Passat .

There aren’t a lot of details surrounding the concept at this point, but Autocar’s sources suggest that the concept will feature a number of never-before-seen design features, including a new Singleframe grille and laser headlamps. The concept’s interior will also be drastically different from anything we’ve seen Audi do in recent years. A new digital instrument cluster is expected to be one of the highlights of the concept’s interior, as well as new connectivity options Audi’s currently developing for the next-generation A8 and the A9 .

A production version of the concept is expected to follow, although that model isn’t expected to arrive until 2017.

The ATS-V is one of the more-anticipated Caddys since the completely redesigned CTS made itself seen at the 2013 New York Auto Show. It’s not too hard to predict what this M3/M4 fighter will bring to the party, but there is still a slight debate on what will power it. Essentially everyone agrees that the ATS-V will use the 3.6-liter, twin-boosted V-6 that we all fell in love with in the CTS Vsport, but there is some disagreement on how much power it will have. Some folks claim it sill carry the same 420 horses and 430 pound-feet of twist as the CTS Vsport , but some — myself included — think Caddy will boost its power slightly to better battle the M3 and M4 .

According to a report from the Los Angeles Times, we will not have to wait much longer to find out what it’s packing, as the sedan version will debut at the 2014 LA Auto Show. The LA show kicks off for the press on November 19, 2014,meaning we will see it in just a few month’s time.

Unfortunately, only the four-door model will show its face in the City of Angels, as the two-door M4 fighter will wait until 2015 to make its debut.

We’ll bring you all the details on the greasy bits once GM reveals it, so keep it here at TopSpeed.com.

The Cherolet Colorado debuted in 2004 as the replacement to Chevy’s first-ever, American-built compact pickup: the S-10 (the LUV that predated the S-10 was an Isuzu product). The Colorado continued with only minor changes through the 2012 model year when it was abruptly discontinued. Little did we know at that time, this was more of a break than a discontinuation of the model, as the covers were pulled off the totally redesigned 2015 Chevy Colorado at the 2013 LA Auto show joining the still fresh Silverado and Silverado HD. The Colorado is based on the global truck platform, but is highly ‘Americanized’ with many key components swapped out for heavier-duty items based on the new Silverado.

The Colorado rides on a fully-boxed, hydroformed steel frame giving it a sturdy platform for hauling and towing. Initially the Colorado will come with two gasoline engine options with a diesel debuting the following year. This diesel engine shows just how serious Chevy is in making the new midsize pickup a class-leader. We suspect that other automakers will soon follow suit and offer diesels in their midsize pickups.

Updated 09/22/2014: General Motors has announced the EPA fuel economy estimates for the Colorado. At its best, the midsize truck achieves 22 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined. GM also released payload ratings, listing the V-6 Colorado at 1,590 pounds. Both stats are class-leading.

Much like its sister company, Hyundai, Kia has been designing cars that not only offer its customers low-cost options to higher-priced brands, but also cars that offer high-quality workmanship and stylish appearances. We all knew that the Kia Forte is going to be up for a significant redesign when its 2014 model year debuts at the 2012 LA Auto Show, but we were not too sure what direction Kia would take it.

But now that the covers have been officially pulled and we have our answer.

We want to say that the Forte blew us away, but that just wouldn’t be fair to it. Sure, there are things about it that we like, but some elements of the car still leaves a lot to be desired. Then again, a car like the Forte, or any other in this segment for that matter, isn’t subject to an all-or-noting affection level.

There are things about it we liked. There are things we didn’t like. At the end though, the Forte received good marks from us because the things we liked outweighed the things we didn’t like.

Not by much. But hey, that’s still worth some salt to us.

Updated 02/24/2014: TopSpeed editor in chief, Justin Cupler, spent a week with a Kia Forte EX with all sorts of goodies installed. Did he love it? Check out the "Driving Impressions" section after the jump.

Ever since 2011, rumors have been swirling that once the new-generation Impreza hits the market, Subaru will separate the Impreza and WRX models. Of course, both will share the same platform, but the WRX and the WRX STI versions will be radically modified and each part on it will be unique.

As no surprise, shortly after the WRX Concept was unveiled at the 2013 New York Auto Show, our spy photographers caught the production version testing around the Nürburgring race track. Now, after many testing sessions, teasers and speculations, the 2015 WRX made its world debut at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.

The model offers a new design language, a powerful four-cylinder engine — not as powerful as hoped though, as it was rumored it will deliver more than 300 horsepower — and, for the first time, the choice of two gearboxes: a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT.

Updated 02/14/2014: Subaru announced today prices for the 2014 WRX set to be put on sale this spring. Prices for the base WRX will start from $26,295 for the base version, but it can go up to $31,195 for the WRX Limited Edition.

Mini has already announced big plans for the future, including new models, an expanded lineup and new engines as just a few of the targets set by the company. As proof that Mini engineers were hard at work to make the next-gen Cooper as great as it could be, our spy photographers caught the new Cooper out and about testing on many occasions. With all of the testing in the book, the new Mini Cooper has finally made its official debut today.

At a first glance, it appears that the new Cooper is very similar to the previous generation, but it received a more aggressive design language, a more sharply steeped A-pillar and a wider grille, along with other changes. Mini built it on BMW’s all-new UKL platform that it will also share with the next-generation 1 Series .

As for the engine lineup, Mini will offer a new family of three-cylinder engines, along with the conventional four-cylinder engines. These three-cylinder engines will also see use in the new BMW 3 Series model, known as the 316i.

Updated 11/18/2013: This review was updated with the official details, images and specs.

Updated 01/30/2014: Mini USA revealed today prices for the new generation Cooper set to go on sale in the spring. Prices will start from $19,950 for the base Cooper model and from $23,600 for the Cooper S.

Remember when Porsche released the Cayenne ? Remember all the people in their Porsche owners club shirts sitting around and telling you about how this new SUV was a disgrace to the Porsche logo and that all the company should design and produce are 911 variants? Well, the Cayenne turned out to be a real success, so the company decided to further expand its SUV lineup with the addition of a new model placed under the Cayenne.

After being tested for a very long time, the new Macan finally made its world debut today at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. Initially the model was rumored to be called "Cajun," but Porsche opted for "Macan" - a name coming from the Indonesian word for tiger. This means that the new model will be "powerful and ready to pounce at any time, yet light-footed and tenacious on off-road terrain."

On the U.S. market Porsche will only offer the Macan S and the Macan Turbo versions, with prices starting from $49,900, but Europeans will also enjoy a diesel version.

Updated 12/13/2013: Today, Porsche released a new video showing how the new Macan is developed at the company’s plant in Leipzig, Germany. You will see how the small crossover evolves from the first components to the finished product. Enjoy!

More than just being one of the biggest automakers in the world these days, Hyundai is also pretty adept at preparing for the apocalypse. Whereas other companies aren’t as involved when it comes to gearing up for the day zombies roam this planet, the Korean automaker has been doing the opposite for the past few years.

Hyundai has already released a handful of zombie-prepared vehicles in the past and at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show , it introduced its latest survival vehicle. It’s called the Hyundai Tucson Walking Dead Edition, and as the name clearly says, this special edition SUV is based on the hit AMC show.

For its color, Hyundai opted to use an Ash Black shade for the exterior with matching red accents and some dedicated graphics, including four unique decals featuring factions - Hilltop, Kingdom, Saviors and Survivors - from the graphic novel-inspired show.

Inside, the special edition Tucson receives black leather seats, custom floor mats, and a seven-inch touchscreen display with a special The Walking Dead splash screen. A "Zombie Survival Kit" is also part of the package, which has a host of cool items, like a survivalist backpack and a Walking Dead Tucson Quick Reference Guide.

Updated 06/20/2014: Hyundai announced that the new Tucson Walking Dead Edition is now on sale at its dealers around the country. Also, a new set of images was added so you can now see this special Tucson on both exterior and interior.

It took a little longer than many of us expected, but Chevrolet has finally released the production version of the Sonic Dusk Sedan at the 2013 Los Angeles Show.

If any of you remember, the model was first shown as a concept at the 2011 SEMA Auto Show and, unlike a lot of the models we see at SEMA, the Sonic Dusk was given the green light as a production model. There are not a lot of noticeable changes from the concept to the production model, but that’s actually a good thing, seeing as the Sonic Dusk Sedan comes with a host of sophisticated new features that really sets it apart from any other Sonic variant

A unique exterior color — Ashen Grey Metallix — is one of the unquestioned highlights of the Sonic Dusk Sedan, complemented nicely by matte appointments on the upper and lower grilles, door handle inserts and rear license plate trim. The vehicle also has a new rear spoiler, a ground-effects package, a set of 18-inch aluminum wheels with its own Midnight Silver matte finish and four-wheel disc brakes — an setup that is exclusive to the Sonic Dusk.

Inside, the modifications are limited to Jet Black leather-trimmed seats with suede-microfiber accents and Mojave tan inserts. Not exactly lighting the world on fire, but enough to give the car’s cabin that added character to set it apart from the crowd.

No performance modifications were given, so expect the Sonic Dusk to have the same 1.4-liter Ecotec turbocharged engine that produces 138 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque. This is good enough to hit 60 mph in around 10 seconds with a top speed of about 115 mph and a fuel returns of 29 mpg in the city and 40 mpg in the highway.
