Think of James Bond and it’s likely that the only car you’ll imagine him in is an Aston Martin, but Bond aficionados may remember that the star in "For Your Eyes Only" was a Lotus Esprit. Last year, the Lotus connection grew by one more car as a Lotus Evora was spotted filming in the French Alps for what people thought was the 23rd installment in the Bond movies. Now it seems that rumor is coming crashing down as Lotus Silverstone - a UK Lotus dealership - is selling a one-off Lotus Evora that happens to have been the star in those French Alp videos cruising the ’net a year ago. According to Lotus Silverstone, those rumors about the Lotus and the 23rd Bond movie are not true. They also said that Lotus only built the car for marketing purposes, including a tour of dealerships and various other promotional activities. Now that the car has finished its marketing stint, the Silverstone dealership is selling the Evora. And if you expected it to come cheap then you would be sadly mistaken. Exterior and InteriorIn the same spirit as the Lotus Esprit who starred in "For Your Eyes Only," this special edition Evora comes painted in Bronze metallic with a set of gold stripes along the lower edge. No other changes were made to either the interior or the exterior. The EngineUnder the hood there is the usual Toyota-sourced 2GR-FE 3.5-liter V6 DOHC, with dual VVT-i (‘intelligent’ variable valve timing). The engine delivers 280 HP at 6400 rpm. Mated to a manual six-speed gearbox this engine will sprint the car from 0 to 60 mph in less than 5 seconds.  The PriceThere is only one James Bond Lotus Evora in the world, so if you want it, you have to make a break for it. The car is priced at £44,995 (or around $71,500 at the current exchange rates). The CompetitionThe usual list of competitors apply for the Evora. Among them is the Porsche Cayman, the Audi TT-S, and the Nissan GT-R. The Cayman is powered by a 2.9-liter flat-six boxer engine that delivers 265 hp. It can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds. The Audi TT-S is powered by a 2-liter TFSI engine that has received a larger turbocharger and many additional modifications obtaining a total output of 272 hp (7hp more than the previous model) while the torque remains at 258.15 lb-ft of torque from 2,500 to 5,000 rpm. The sprint from 0 to 60mph is made in 5.2 seconds while top speed is limited to 155 mph. The competition is pretty stiff, but considering this is a James Bond model and there is only one in the world, exclusivity is definitely the name of the game.  Really amazing car. I like the yellow one it is just a sports car combines with a fashions designs that inspires the users.
 Rather than rubbing further salt into the wound about how ripped off we are with car prices here. Maybe a little editing of the conversion price would be good for us hard done by Aussies!

 The white one was in the spy who loved me – the lotus in those colors featured in ‘for your eyes only’ a later film. Just get a white Evora that’s james bond enough, who knows it may also double as a submarine.
 I admit that i was amazed with this one, but unfortunately the pricey is an over kill. imagine a $660,000 for a fiat 500?
 nice 200 hp for a small car like this is truly amazing, good thing that the wheelbase can compensate with such speed. also if you buy this you can get a limited edition of Ipad.
 I see allot of you making fun of it  But I think it has some nice touches and also a good price. The paintjob could of been nicer. As it looks now... it’s more like a ski suit than a James Bond
