The new arrival is a celebratory version produced in a limited and numbered edition. The model is called the GranSport ''MC Victory''. The GranSport "MC Victory", as well as offering a wider range of standard features than the GranSport from which it derives, includes a number of all-new contents that enhance the dynamic handling. These features bring the car closer to the Maserati MC12.

Design

Externally, the GranSport "MC Victory" is instantly recognisable for its aerodynamic elements realised in blue carbon. The front splitter has been redesigned to guarantee greater down force. This renders the drive even more involving and results in precise steering and elevated stability at high speed.

The blue carbon colour is a perfect complement to the "Blu Victory" bodywork, a new tone inspired by the livery in which the race version of the MC12 was premiered at the 2004 Geneva motorshow.

Another aesthetic echo of the MC12 is represented by the Italian flags embedded in the front mudguards. The external black grilles, red brake callipers and 19" wheel rims in Grigio Mercury complete the sporty look.

The racing feel of the interior is blended with touches of typical Maserati elegance, seen here in the choice of materials and the chrome fittings. The carbon fibre elements mirror the exterior as they are finished in blue. These blues are married with a selection of leathers and Alcantara. The elements with the greatest impact are undoubtedly the body-hugging carbon fibre seats as found on the roadgoing Maserati MC12.

The new racing seats can be adjusted manually and reduce the overall weight by twenty kilograms. Their greatest advantage is that they maintain the driver’s position securely, thus making the driving more enjoyable and enabling the car to be controlled more easily.

The interior of the GranSport "MC Victory" is further enhanced by the numbered plate situated on the central tunnel. This bears the celebratory logo and number of the actual vehicle.

Also new are carbon fibre Cambiocorsa gearshift paddles. Their ergonomic form derives from experience gained in competition and are similar to those found on the Trofeo GranSport that competes in the single-make championship. The new design makes changing gear simpler even when the wheel is turned fully as happens when entering or exiting a curve.
