2011 Maserati GranTurismo Draken by SR Project

  Review

SR Project has joined forces with Ferrari Maserati of Vancouver to develop a special GranCabrio for the 2011 Vancouver International Auto Show. The package is called "Draken" and includes exterior updates, improved suspensions, and a new set of wheels.

The tuning package for the Maserati adds a bit of edge to an already classy ride. The exterior gets a new MC Sportline Aero front lip and a new set of wheels, Monotec T-03, measuring 21" at front and 22" rear. The exterior is smoothed out in a classic white while the wheels get a more aggressive matte black finish. The wheels are combined with a new set of Formula Dynamics Lowering Springs. The red leather interior finishes the look of the GranCabrio while adding a touch of color to the vehicle.

Nothing was done to the 4.7 Liter V8 humming under the GranCabrio’s hood, but the standard 433 HP at 7000 RPM and 362 lb-ft of torque should be enough for any enthusiast. Thanks to the high revving V8, the GrandCabrio is slated to run from 0 to 60 MPH in around the 5 second mark and continue on up to a 180 MPH top speed.

It only looks like their other vehicle, and I really can’t see the exterior upgrade that they were saying on this. However, I’m still glad that it has an impressive and efficient engine.

I’m really impressed with its powerful engine, and the appearance of this GranTurismo Draken was still impressive though it is only very similar on the other GranTurismo versions. Anyway, I love the angst that the headlights of it was expressing.

Yeah, I was expecting that since this car is a GT version, it power output would be around 600 hp but it wasn’t.  The look as already great but the engine need to be upgrade.

I have to admit that I’m impressed with the look of this car. However, I think it figure performance is not that powerful and that;s the depressing part of this car. I want to see a more powerful Maserati!

Well,  I think this car is kind of fuel efficient. It also looks good in Cabrio plus the interior specs are quite amazing!

I like the upgrade in the exterior and the improved suspension of the car. However, I’m a bit disappointed that its top speed limit is 180 MPH.

I really can[’t say a lot about this one except that it looks great. All the elements that they have put into it really blended well into this Maserati.

Well, I think that it is quite alright that they didn’t do anything to the engine. The one that they have in the GranTurismo is very good as it is, so it would be a better idea to keep it.

I would definitely give this car high marks for the look, really outstanding. On the other hand, I am also a bit disappointed that they didn’t tweak the engine. Oh well, you can’t have it all.
