AutoBild caught the future Maserati GT-C (Gran Turismo Convertible) testing in Germany. Powered by a V8 engine the future GT-C will join the Gran Turismo line-up starting 2009 (next to the GT and the GT S).
Built on the same platform as the Gran Turismo Coupe, it will be a folding soft top convertible, and not a hardtop one as some rumors suggested.
Under the hood there will be the same 4,2 liter V8 engine as in the coupe version that will deliver 405 hp at 7,100 rpm and a maximum torque of 460 Nm at 4,750 rpm.

We all know how Ferrari, Lamborghini or Jaguar logos look like at the moment: they inspire power, speed and trust. But how did those logos looked like when they were little babies? Would you still buy a Ferrari with a logo like this?
Working for Minichamps, a die-cast scale model company, Brazilian ad agency Denstu drew up some logos of what Maserati, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Jaguar logos looked like when they were babies.
My favorite: the Jaguar one!

The Bellagio Fastback Touring made its official debut at the Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza, in Italy. Based on the Maserati Quattroporte Sedan, Bellagio is powered by a 4.2-liter V8 engine that delivers 400 hp and it makes the 0 to 60 mph sprint in 5.2 seconds and can hit a top speed of 171 mph.
Carozzeria Touring Superleggera announced the car will go into production, as a very limited edition. Customers will be able to further personalize the Bellagio with different colors, interiors, materials and extras. According to the Italian coachbuilder “prices will be identical or even lower than equivalent sportscars”.
The Bellagio Fastback Touring forms a tribute to Maserati successful Quattroporte model. The most luxury Italian saloon car of the post-War period has in fact been transformed in a sports fastback with rear door and large loading space, to offer the market a top level sportcar, never realized before.
The Bellagio Fastback Touring has dimensions and performance identical to the saloon’s, it weighs only 50 kg more and doesn’t need particular homologations. It’s the ideal car for those who need a high standing and performance car also for leasure, able to accommodate four persons in maximum comfort and a series of sports equipments, luggages and whatever you need in your spare time. The Bellagio Fastback Touring can therefore be made to measure not only in colors, interiors and desired accessories, but also in tailor-made solutions for its owner: spaces for shotguns, ski, golf and all big objects in general.
