Maybach Exelero

Maybach Exelero

Rappers tend to have some of the biggest paychecks known to man. Even "Birdman" who may not be the most recognized or the most talented rapper has enough money to splurge now and again. Keeping that in mind, it’s no wonder that he recently became the owner of a Maybach Exelero for which he paid an incredible $8 million. Considering Forbes lists him as the fourth wealthiest rapper and he is also the proud owner of a Bugatti Veyron and a Maybach Landaulet , this latest purchase shouldn’t astound anyone.

"They got this new Maybach that I want that costs $8 million, I gotta have it," he said in a recent interview, and why shouldn’t he when his net worth is estimated to be $100 million?

The Exelero is powered by a V12 biturbo engine that develops an impressive 700 HP at 5,000 rpm and 753 lm.ft of maximum torque at 2,500 rpm. It can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and hits a top speed of 218 mph. If that isn’t impressive enough, there is only one Exelero in the world.

UPDATE 08/15/2011: Either Birdman has changed his mind or the money from his old CDs isn’t coming in as fast as he would like it to because the rapper has yet to pay for his expensive new ride. According to a representative of European entrepreneur, Arnaud Massartic (the current owner of the Exelero), Birdman has yet to pay for the Maybach. All this means is that anyone with a spare $8 million can still snag the vehicle and pull a Jay-Z/Kanye makeover. (MotorAuthority)

The Exelero is no doubt the greatest vehicle Maybach ever had in its line-up, but there is only one unit in all of the world currently owned by André A. Jackson (who paid like $8 million to get it). So, why would people even dare to make a replica for a model like that? Simple; because anyone in this world would do anything to even just drive the Exelero.

Of course a replica would never be as close to the real thing as one would like it to be, but it could still tame the aches from longing for the real thing. Lucky for those people experiencing this pain, James List has an Exelero replica currently listed and priced at $687,335. It is based off a Dodge Viper sports car and is powered by a 8.3L V10 engine with 800 hp (and not 700HP V12 like the original). Both the interior and exterior can be fully customized to any customer’s wishes.

Reports have been filing in today regarding news that P.Diddy’s son, who recently celebrated his 16th birthday, was given a rather expensive gift – even for celebrity standards - by dear old Daddy-O to the tune of a $360,000 Maybach Exelero. Now, if you’re a car aficionado, you’re going to immediately raise a few red flags upon reading this report.

Red Flag no. 1: There’s only one Maybach Exelero in the world and it’s highly unlikely that Diddy gave it to his son as a birthday present.

Red Flag no. 2: The Maybach Exelero does not cost $360,000. Actually that price tag is just a shade under 5% of what an Exelero actually costs, which, if you don’t know, is around $8 million.

The report does say that the car Diddy got for his son, Justin, costs around $360,000 so we’re going to venture a guess that it might have been something along the likes of either a Maybach 57 or a Maybach 62 .

But an Exelero? We sincerely doubt that Diddy even considered for one iota to get his 16-year old son a car that comes with a price tag of around four Bugatti Veyron s.

I have to admit that ever since I saw the Exelero Concept my biggest dream was to get behind its wheel. But, I have to remain realistic; its just a dream! But, for a very lucky person, and a very rich one too, this dream might become reality. A Maybach Excelero Concept is for sale, for "only" 5 million euro (almost $8 million). A bargain for a car like this, no?

The car was built by Stola company on order of Fulda Company. It has a power of 700 hp, makes the 0 to 60 mph sprint in 4,4 seconds and hits a top speed of 280 mph (Veyron who?).

Just imagine an automobile that combines the elegance and first-class quality of a high-end limousine with the powerful suppleness of a sports coupé. Create a vehicle in your mind’s eye which, with an unladen weight of over 2.66 tons and the dimensions of a small transporter, achieves a maximum speed of over 350 km/h. Conceive an ultra-high performance tire which not only copes with the aforementioned weight, the dimensions and the speed, but also makes the automobile safe, stable and comfortable. Such a vehicle and such tires do not exist? Now they do.
