2011 Maybach 57S Coupe by Xenatec

Who is Xenatec ? Well, if you’ve been around the tuning block, you’ve probably heard of this German coachbuilder who has been announcing plans for amazing cars for quite some time now.

After years of talking, Xenatech finally released their latest creation, the Maybach 57S Coupe. The German coachbuilder will be bringing their new prized vehicle to Geneva, but ironically enough, the launch won’t take place at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. Instead of joining the rest of the automotive world at the Palexpo Center, Xenatech will be pulling the covers off of the new 57S Coupe at a specially built pavilion in the gardens of “La Reserve” hotel on the banks of Lake Geneva.

Why they decided on doing this is a question that we don’t have an answer to. Whatever the case may be, these guys probably want all the attention for themselves, which isn’t a bad thing. At the very least, a lot of people attending the Geneva Motor Show should be buzzing about the $1 million-dollar luxury car that’s being launched across town.

Details on the Maybach 57S Coupe by Xenatec after the jump.

Exterior and Interior

The exterior package Xenatech gave the 57S Coupe includes new front and rear bumpers, a new air diffuser with integrated exhaust system, and the B-Pillar moved 20 cm to the back of the car, offering more room for the passengers. The car is also offered with a full glass roof, bespoke interior and armored body for full protection.

As for the car that will be on display at the “La Reserve” hotel on the banks of Lake Geneva, well, it’s a custom-built model that Xenatec designer Fredrik Burchhardt had built for himself. It’s going to come with a two-tone matte finish that was applied in several layers, all of which were done by hand.

The interior of this particular model will also come with some fancy luxury digs, including an upholstery that’s made from hand-stitched mid-brown buffalo hide that has been combined with dark nappa leather. The same nappa leather material can also be found on the headliner with the footwells coming with Alcantara lining.

Performance

The Maybach 57S is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 bi-turbo engine tuned to deliver an impressive 612 horsepower and 737 lb/ft of torque. This will help the coupe sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 5 seconds with a top speed of 171 mph and an average fuel consumption of 14.8 mpg.

Pricing

As what was previously mentioned, the Xenatech Maybach 57 S Coupe will only be limited to 100 units with each model fetching an astronomical price tag of €675,000, or about $929,000 based on current exchange rates. And by the way, that price is well before taxes are added.

Competition

A luxury car that costs slightly under $1 million dollars is pretty rare to find. A lot of the cars that are sold in this stratosphere are mostly of the supercar variety and even that doesn’t feel like a close comparison. The closest we can think of in terms of million-dollar luxury cars is another Maybach model, the Landaulet , which actually has an even more ridiculous price tag of $1.35 million!

Not exactly our price range. Far from it, to be completely honest.

I have never been a fan of the Maybach when it comes to styling. However, the good thing is there are few automakers choose to follow the classic look. Just like the Roll Royce, Cadillac and Bentley. Now they found their competitors.

It only looks classier and expensive on its silver body paint. Anyway, I really wonder if it is a luxury vehicle or a sports car? smiley Well, I just noticed that its engine is too powerful on it.

I’m really quite confused with the design of its front grille. It truly looks like a BMW vehicle for that! Anyway, I love the luxurious appearance of it, and it only looks like a limousine with that feature.

Impressive engine performance! 6.0 liter V12 bi-turbo engine of it that can deliver an impressive 612 horsepower is surely can give a better and a remarkable performance on this good-looking luxury car. smiley

Maybach really know how to make a simple classy and expensive looking car, well considering that it is a Maybach car it is expected to be so pricey. I was totally impressed with this one.

Look very luxurious car, though this not much of my type of car, I’ll go for sportier car than to have an elegant car. Want to live young not so with formal decent standard life.

I think you got it wrong aaron_lexus. It’s not a Limousine but a coupe. I would agree that this will be really expensive since it is Maybach. The whole package is good for a luxury car.

Yeah! It looks pale, maybe they need to change the paint color of it. The new front is not really impressive but the fact that this car is an armored body, I must say that this is simply amazing. It is as if they combined the features of Maybach Gaurd and 57.

Well, Its looks sexier and lovely makes it in a bolder appearance really cool, And I think the driving experience is also brings its way of good performance as well.

I think Coupe is very important for a luxury manufacturer but I can’t explain why. If we could remember we have seen the downfall of Toyota Company when they change the 1 generation SC series into 2 gen.

Looks a bit too plain to me. Bat then again, these kinds of cars don’t really need to have flashy exteriors to stand out. And the power output of the engine is really good to.

Well, for me I like the design of the back bumper..And once again Maybach prove that they are of the pioneer when it comes building a high quality luxury cars.

Is this a new model? It looks like the old one with a touch of Hyundai (grille) This won´t help maybach. Are the planning to sell this also in China? I think they should think twice cause
this one could ruin whole brand .

yeah, that’s true I can see the improvement of the design of the Maybach when it comes to its styling and look but when it comes to affordability and the engine plus other factor. I’ll better choose the Bentley Flying Spur, it cost less and the engine is much powerful compare to the 57S. Its hp is 600 at 6000 RPM and its torque is 553 at 1700 RPM. Now, that would be a sweet deal!

Finally, a Maybach that looks good. Ok, actually I mean pretty decent or ’not half bad’. Let’s not get carried away with the compliments :P

Paintwork on the new coupe will be done in a range of one and two-tone colors. All is well till you hear how much this beauty-plus-beast will rake out of your wallet: a clean £586,000 or $927,811 by the current conversion rate. And there will be just 100 of those planned for production.

Sexy, but how do you get into the back seats? Like a regular coupe? Not exactly worth that much monies?
