2011 Maybach Cruiserio Coupe

German coachbuilder, Xenatec , gets its kicks from making short cars
long, long cars short, and long cars even longer. This is evident in their many zany interpretations, including their transformations for the Audi R8 and the Porsche 911 . But their craziest package is yet to come with the Maybach Cruiserio Coupe, developed by Daimler and Saudi-based Auto Kingdom. There will only be 100 units built at a price of $940,000.

"The new Cruiserio coupe demonstrates a vision for design and production which AutoKingdom shares with the two German companies. This vision is the result of intellectual cooperation. The new generation features an advanced and ultra-elegant design by the most experienced and skilled automobile engineers and specialists who have deep knowledge of the demands of owners of luxury cars and their vision for an ultra-luxurious car which surpasses all what they saw in the past and is set to beat what they could see in the future."

The Cruiserio Coupe is powered by a V12 engine with an output of 605 HP and a sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 5.0 seconds, while top speed hits the 170 mph mark. Pretty amazing numbers considering we’re talking about a 5.7 meter luxury coupe.

UPDATE 12/29/2010: Well, it didn’t take long for the luxury ride to find its way into dealerships. We recently got word that the very first model of the Xenatec Maybach 57S Coupe is now being put up for sale by AutoKingdom, a luxury car dealer in Saudi Arabia for al ittle less than a million dollars. Incidentally, AutoKingdom is one of only two companies outside of Germany that has been given the rights to sell the limited-run vehicle with the other dealership being Russia’s ArmorTech Group.

I really like the maybach for combining the luxury and classic look on this car. Everything is just simply awesome! But i just wonder what does v12 engine technology doing on this car? I don’t think that this luxury car needed a speed.

I think the v12 engine is just a waste when put on this Maybach Coupe. Imagine, it hits 60 mph for 5 seconds. hence, other supercar that uses v8 can do that for only 3 seconds. I think they need to modified it correctly.

it does show the good quality of the their brand. But I rather get the CL65 or new Lambo Aventador for this pricetag.

This look a beautiful design and this is nicer! But I don’t like the rear end of this car and it looks so incomplete because they have cut off the headlights.

This car does look awesome! I have drove it once , and I totally understand the reason behind that enormous pricetag. The quality is absolutely perfect!

No wonder Daimler asked Aston Martin to rebuild Maybach brand, the Britons know how to build luxury cars and sell it even with the most stupid special editions like AM recently does.

I really don’t think they’re going to sell 100 units even for 200,000€ each. It’s just over designed 57 sedan without rear door handles.

Fortunately, this elegant looks is one of the desire car for wealthy individulas that surely like their tas

then there would be no difference I really like Maybach, maybe more than the Rolls or Bentley but the bumper ruins the elegant and unique image.

Amazing! Except his ugly silver front bumper – why they don’t use the original which is much more elegant?

honestly I don’t know why you need a 30 foot coupe, but hey, if you have that much money, why not add one to your collection? It’d be pretty cool to see one in person some day.

One bar grille is becoming a signature of AMG models. It suits some models but looks very weak on others.

I still don’t know that the car can justify that kind of money, however, the actually production version does look pretty awesome.

totally agree, like what many other say if you really want this car you should have a lots of benjamins to spare. but for sure only high end persons will have the interest to buy this car.. but there is one alternative for this car and that is the Hyundai Equus.. I think the are using a CRDi engine.

this type of car should be in hybrid mode. having this one will surely make your pocket cry and make a hole into it. but i though mayback is also aiming for clean and fuel efficient vehicle? so why making another gas drinker one?

That came out looking a lot better than I thought it would. That said, why would anyone want one of these when the CL63 AMG looks better, almost certainly sounds better, is probably more practical and comes in at a fraction of the cost (speaking of cost, that is the cheapest looking steering-wheel I’ve seen on such an expensive car)?

The only reason I wandered over to the comments was to say this same thing... except I would go with the non Black... every Black series car seems to forgot too much luxury for a LOT of useless insanity.
